Midfield is a stretch…
Yeah that was my thought too. Are wingers midfielders? Like I'm certain he could play as an attacking midfielder but he has been on the right wing or in the number 10 role all season no?
Lots of y’all don’t seem to remember how Kaka played, but he was basically an auxiliary striker.
And he was amazing.
To be fair Kaka peaked over 15 years ago at this point so a decent chunk of the reddit userbase wouldn't have even seen him play, and if they did it was Orlando Kaka not Milan, Ballon d'Or winning Kaka.
Your response made my knees ache.
I don't even remember having the ability to watch Serie A in the States 15 years ago. Unless DirectTV had some kind of weird subscription package that cost your left arm.
You could barely watch anything 15 years ago. You would gets bits and pieces from a lot of leagues and especially the knockouts stage of the CL, but it really was a crapshoot.
We really live in a golden age for watching worldwide soccer right now.
I looked it up last night that Pulisic actually has the most goals excluding penalties on Milan across all competitions.
Does he play midfield for Milan? Haven’t really been paying attention
He's played CAM a few times down the stretch, but the vast majority of time he's spent on the wing. So yeah this is bs
It really depends on how wingers are played in a system, so they can definitely be considered midfielders.
But for how milan plays, I think they would be considered a forward.
Par for the course for Opta
No
Had to double check but Antonio Nocerino did score 10 in 2011-12 and he was absolutely not taking PKs for that team
I loved having nocerino for Orlando city. Such a class player
...but so slow.
And Kaka doesn’t even have his own sandwich!
I believe Kaka won the ballon d’Or in 2007…foreshadowing????
Given that he plays the same position as Leao, only on the opposite wing, this makes zero sense.
FWIW, Milan's official website and app has him listed as a midfielder. Though he's only played 2 or 3 games as CAM.
I think it's because in a 4-2-3-1 the wingers are also considered midfielders.
He plays Right Wing not midfield. He played CAM like twice this season. BS clickbait.
This is a bunch of poop…
