I'm obsessed with Fresh Out The Slammer simply because of this line:
to the one who says I'm the girl of his ~American~ dreams
The way she says 'American' scratches juuuust the right part of my brain. This isn't my favorite song on TTPD, but I find myself listening to it over and over again just so I can keep hearing this line!
What lyrics are you obsessed with not because of their meaning, but because of her delivery?

The way she sings UPPER in the last chorus is too good
YESSS and the way she says “one slip &fallin back into the ~hedge~maze oh what a way to diieee” plus rhyming kiss with tryst gets me too! I literally love the whole chorus of Guilty as Sin so much.

I feel the same about that last chorus. Also, am I insane or does ‘Guilty as Sin’ sound sort of like Speak Now era? I feel like I haven’t seen anyone talking about that so I’m wondering if I’m just imagining it. It sounds very nostalgic to some of her older music to me.

“My beloved ghost and me, sitting in a tree, d-y-i-n-g” from How Did It End?. I don’t know why, I just immediately loved that part of the song.
the entire bridge is spectacular but this haunted take on a childhood nursery rhyme definitely stood out to me on my first listen as well!

As a nurse, her using the term "death rattle" had me doing the Leonardo DiCaprio pointing meme. That alone sold me on the bridge

Such a vivid image of death if you’ve witnessed it. She put a lot of grief into that bridge.

agreed! this is for sure my favorite line in the prophecy
I’m a huge fan of the line preceding that: “Feeling like the very last drops of an ink pan”, love how its delivery is very pointed, like drops of ink.

The “mine” in “it’s mine alone to disgrace”. It has just enough of that country twang callback, and it’s so satisfying to listen to!
