Trip report - Santa croce with Dan harper

Since the last time i visited Firenze 6 years back, i got acquainted with Dan n made it a point to coordinate with him for a rich historical informative tour of Santa croce.

The tribute to the masters of Renaissance and Dan's command over the knowledge of Santa croce meant ,the magic that began at 2 pm in front of Altar of Santa croce ended at about 4.30 in the cloisters.

The history behind how a religious place meant for the poor outside the city walls eventually became the resting place of the masters such as Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo and the favourite architect of the Mediciis, Vasari who's bone were lost to the deluge of 1967, Tribute to Fermi, or the best friend of Lorenzo, the magnificent who saved his best friend's life, was explained to me so well by Dan.

danharperflorence@gmail.com is where those passionate about history behind Santa croce can contact him.

Thanks.
