BMG names Kristal McKanders Dube as Global Corporate Communications Lead

BMG has appointed Kristal McKanders Dube to lead its Global Corporate Communications. She takes over from Steve Redmond who has stepped down from his role as EVP Global Corporate Communications.

Based in Los Angeles, McKanders Dube reports to BMG CEO Thomas Coesfeld. In her new role, she will handle BMG’s corporate communications worldwide, "spearheading internal and external communications efforts, and liaising with BMG’s parent company, Bertelsmann," according to a company statement.

Warner Music Group’s revenues increased 7% to $1.49 billion in Q1 2024

Warner Music Group Corp. posted revenues of $1.49 billion for the first quarter of 2024 ending March 31, 2024, up 7% compared to the same period a year prior. Net income was $96m versus $37m in the prior-year quarter, while operating income decreased 4% to $119m versus $124m year-on-year.

peermusic’s Götz von Einem re-elected President of German music publishers’ association DMV

Götz von Einem, peermusic's Managing Director GSA and Senior Vice President Digital & European Legal Affairs, has been re-elected as President of the Board of German music publishers' association Deutscher Musikverleger Verband-DMV.

Von Einem was elected during the organisation's annual meeting in Berlin with 97% of the AGM's votes, alongside new Vice-President Arne Björn Segler (Schott Music). DMV board members are elected by the annual general meeting for three years.
