The 69th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will witness Punjab Kings hosting Sunrisers Hyderabad. The two are scheduled to play on 19th May at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
This is the last match at this stadium and the last league game for both teams. Sunrisers Hyderabad has already qualified and thus will be hoping to carry their momentum straight into the playoffs with a win. Meanwhile, Punjab Kings are already knocked out and are expected to make wholesale changes.
Punjab Kings are placed 9th in the points table and are expected to remain in the same position in the table even if a win is secured. PBKS won 5 out of their 13 games till now.
SRH, on the other hand, is in 3rd position of the points table with 15 points and can even climb up to 2nd position if they secure a win here and KKR defeats RR.
Sunrisers Hyderabad will be led by Pat Cummins while PBKS captain Sam Curran has already left for his national duties and Jitesh Sharma will lead the team in the last game.

Amidst Klassen and Head, Aiden Markram has performed consistently for SRH to reach the playoffs. He is 26 runs shy of reaching 1000 IPL runs.
This will be an interesting game as SRH’s fierce batting lineup walks one last time at this ground where they started it all, scoring 278 against MI. SRH would continue to dominate while PBKS, with their youngsters, would try to end the season with a win.
