Had an excellent flight. The crew were so nice and I had no problems with my baggage or my seat at all. 10/10, do fly Southwest!

I missed my 7:25AM flight due to personal issues getting to the airport. Life happens, but I still called customer service at 8:35 AM to see what I could do to hop on the next flight. It was a 16 minute wait time to talk to a rep and received a call back at 8:53 AM. The customer service rep let me know of my options. She also advised me of going directly to the airport for cheaper options. She did let me know of the 2 hour period and I told her I would not make it before that time. She suggested that I could still go and that if I made it after there may still be something that could be done for me. At no time did she tell me I was going to lose all of my funds completely and that I would have to buy a completely new flight. Had she said that I would've made the arrangements over the phone. After all, that is why I made the call in the first place so that I can get guidance instead of going all the way to the airport and wasting my time. Well I ended up wasting my time because I was 20 minutes past the 2 hour limit and the supervisor insisted there was nothing that can be done and I would have to purchase a whole new round trip flight. I don't have anymore money to by a new flight and will now miss my grandfathers funeral all because of the CSRs suggestion instead of letting me know I will lose all of my money if I was even 1 minute passed the 2 hour window. The agents at the ticket counter were of no help either and were quick to push me to buy a whole new flight.

Horrific. People are nice but the boarding system is archaic! It’s basivcally a rugby scrum.

1. No assigned seating
2. People abuse the size of carry on
3 people abuse disability to get a better seat
4 you never sit with your wife or kids if you are section C

Delays all the time

Won’t check you in unless your flight is 4 hours or less. Try that in Orlando with a 90 minute wait in the Disney tsa line!

I will walk before I take this airline again.

On top of that no seat assignments so they overbook too! Pretty impressive.

Pay the bag fees fly delta or United.

When you e mail with an issue you get the sorry but it’s policy answer.

Southwest now should rank with jet blue and spirit as crappy carriers hands down.

Southwest airlines employees are almost always friendly but literally every flight I've had in the last 3 yrs is delayed and usually multiple times with weather not being a factor. They seem unable to keep any schedule whatsoever

I left LaGuardia at 10:30am 5/16 bound for (I thought) Austin with a plane change in Dallas. Bad weather caused the first leg to be diverted to Oklahoma City where we were confined to the jet on the tarmac for almost 3 hours. SWA finally got us to Dallas where I spent another 7 hours and two significant delays. Then they sent me to Houston where the flight arrived AFTER the flight to Austin, on which SWA had booked me, had departed before we had even landed! Now I get to spend the night in the airport because of the incompetence of Southwest Airlines. I understand the weather delays but I do not appreciate being treated like a piece on a game board. All I have heard all day from Southwest Airlines is, “We’re sorry,” which is beginning to sound more and more like, “That’s your problem.” I paid to get from one place to another in a reasonable amount of time and, even allowing for the inclement weather, Southwest utterly failed to deliver. My trip will take at least 24 hours! I have been a long time SWA customer but this trip has opened my eyes to SWA’s feigned concern for customer service. “I’m sorry,” but I will never again make the mistake of booking with SWA.
