Song Hye-kyo is a name to reckon with in the Korean entertainment realm. The actress, who picked major acclaim for her performance in 'The Glory', recently opened up about her journey in front of the camera.
Song Hye-kyo opened up about her views on aging and told Harper's Bazaar Korea, "I don’t feel burdened by aging in front of the camera. It’s a natural process.
I try to show a look that seems to age a bit more slowly than my actual age, but I don’t want to forcibly push away the natural flow of time”, she remarked. Embracing the passage of time with grace, she added, “Obviously, you age, and you can’t just stay outwardly young forever. In fact, I think I look cooler as I age, with lighter makeup and simpler clothes”, as reported by Kbizoom.
Talking about her professional works, Song shared her experiences working on the film ‘Dark Nuns’ after wrapping up the emotionally intense drama ‘The Glory’. Reflecting on her commitment to her roles, she revealed, “During the filming of ‘The Glory’, I didn’t have personal time as Song Hye-kyo. I lived as Moon Dong-eun every day for almost 7 months, from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep. When the project ended, the emptiness was significant because I was no longer Dong-eun. It was an emotionally exhausting drama, and the character had gone through human pain, which made it even more so. It took quite a while, but now I’ve fully let go of Dong-eun, allowing me to start a new project”.
Excited about her current project, she described ‘Dark Nuns’ as a story of two nuns making efforts to rescue a child tormented by an evil presence. “‘Dark Nuns’ is about two nuns struggling to save a child possessed by an evil spirit. It’s a ‘female film’ with women leading the narrative”, she explained. Song further noted, “The occult genre heavily relies on post-production, so I’m curious about how the completed work will feel since I’m acting while imagining the CG. It’s difficult, but just as fun, and it’s my first time attempting this kind of acting. The expressions are new and different from Dong-eun, which is fascinating”.
