JUCO Uncommitted Spotlights: St. Louis CC

With NJCAA postseason play starting to get underway, we take a look at a handful of name-to-know uncommitted players from St. Louis Community College.

Dylan Block

Sophomore OF Dylan Block posted a strong spring for St. Louis CC, leading the team in several offensive categories including batting average (.346), hits (63), runs (40), doubles (11), and home runs (10). The 5-foot-11, 190-pound righty also posted a .424 on base percentage and a .582 slugging percentage on the year. At our St. Louis CC scout day last fall, Block impressed at the plate, posting a peak exit velocity of 99.9 mph while consistently finding barrels for an average exit velocity of 91.6 mph. He featured a rhythmic and repeatable right handed swing that produced some easy pop, sending his furthest ball 373 feet. Additionally, the sophomore posted a 82 mph infield velocity.

Bryce Louis

Sophomore RHP Bryce Louis was one of the go to arms for the Archers this past spring. Getting work both as a starter and out of the bullpen, Louis racked up 64.1 innings pitched over 12 appearances to lead the St. Louis CC staff. Over his work this past spring, Louis is sporting a 5.32 ERA and 1.52 WHIP while striking out 43, good for a K/9 of 6.02.

Zane Roos

Sophomore OF Zane Roos is another bat in the Archers order that stood out to us last fall at our showcase. Standing at a physical 6-foot-2, 215-pounds, Roos sprayed barrels to all fields during his round of batting practice, showing off a short, repeatable swing that flashed some pull side pop. The righty posted a max exit velocity of 94.5 mph with an impressive 83.3% line drive percentage. From the outfield, Roos fired a 95 mph bullet and also ran a 6.71 60. This spring, he finished the spring with a .240 average with 8 doubles and 4 home runs.
