X Factor star Cher Lloyd reveals terrifying incident while driving with her children

X Factor star Cher Lloyd has revealed she’s thankful her family are safe, following a terrifying incident while driving with her children in the car.

The singer revealed that the brakes on her £40,000 Ford Ranger failed while her two daughters Delilah-Rae, 5, and Eliza Violet, 8 months, were in the car with her.

The 30-year-old took to Instagram to give a warning to her followers after the horror incident.

The mum-of-two wrote: “This is my Ford Ranger. My brakes totally failed with no warning while driving with my baby and my 5-year-old.”

“Total engine failure due to the wet belt. To anyone who owns one or is thinking of buying one, BEWARE! I’m counting my lucky stars that my family is safe.”

“This beautiful vehicle, however, has retired well before her time @forduk,” she added.

However, she continued to assure her fans that her kids were safe by sharing a pic with them afterwards.

Cher and her daughter

Cher rose to fame on the seventh series of The X Factor in 2010, alongside the likes of One Direction, Matt Cardle and Mary Byrne.

Last September, she announced the birth of her second child with her husband Craig Monk.

The singer took to Instagram to share a black-and-white photo of her newborn daughter, as she revealed her unusual name.

The 30-year-old wrote: “ELIZA VIOLET 9/9/23 💜”

Cher married her hairdresser husband Craig in a secret ceremony back in 2013.
