Yvonne McGuinness was born in Kilkenny, Ireland, on October 12, 1972, to Gay McGuinness and his spouse. Since 1990, Gay McGuinness has owned the prestigious Domaine de Notre Dame des Anges vineyard in France, giving her an interest in the wine business.

Yvonne first got to know Murphy from his big break—his first acting gig in the late 1990s—before he became well-known. He was chosen to appear in a local production of the playwright’s new work, Disco Pigs, in Cork, Ireland, even though he was relatively unknown at the time. It became so popular that it went on an 18-month global tour after making stops in Dublin and London.
