Looks wise, Bill Hader for sure.

Or whoever played Dahmer in that Netflix show.

I think Hader could really nail it, too.

Jemaine clement if he can pull off the accent. Edit: removed r from name

Edited

Also a solid choice, looks wise.

(Depending on the street)

You just blew my mind with this perfect choice. He would absolutely be able to pull this off. The way the man has done such dynamic characters amazes me. I'm still in awe that Vladislav the Poker is one of the dorky dudes in Flight Of The Concords (and flipping Tamatoa!). I can't think of him doing an American accent right now, but... I believe in him.

Also, there is no 'r' in his name.

u/dasteez avatar

I love him as the Crab in Moana too. Im sure he can pull off a NE American accent, I just haven’t seen him in anything where he didn’t use something similar to his NZ accent.

He’s really good at impressions of other people/characters

Hader would be perfect not just because of his looks, but because SK is a genuinely funny guy IRL. Plus Hader has the acting chops to capture the darker parts of SK’s life.

u/Rathnu avatar

He does a good king on snl

He only has a couple of lines but I think he'd nail it...

Evan Peters probably could pull this off. He's an incredible actor and horror is a genre he knows well.

u/Basunkinder avatar

I would LOVE to see that movie!

Hader would kill it.

If Bill Hader plays Stephen, then I want Aidy Bryant as Tabby. I love then all so much

You read my mind.

I came here to say Bill Hader. He’d be perfect.

Think many of us came here to say bill.So i'm gonna go ahead and update this

I think he looks so similar to Ike Barinholtz in this pic

Rainn Wilson

Identity theft is not a joke, Steve!

That would be great, actually.

This was my thought

Also a solid choice.

Bill Hader a la Barry

Josh Hartnett

Always the correct answer.

More replies

Fuck it... Nicolas Cage.

u/Upstairs_Internal295 avatar

This is my favourite. I’d watch Nicolas Cage play anything, frankly

My god, him as Coke King would be the stuff of legends.

Just give me a five minute scene of him snorting insane amounts of coke and ranting about The Beam and The Tower. He doesn't even need to nail the character if I get that.

Maybe it's just me, but I've always found Stephen King and Jim Carrey very lookalike. So here's my answer. The dude is also no stranger to biopics.

u/FooFightersFan777812 avatar

I think Jim's too old for a biopic at this point

I hear Richard Bachman has a similar style.

Sadly he died years ago of cancer of the pseudonym.

More importantly, who will SK play for his mandatory cameo appearance?

[deleted]
[deleted]

Peter Gallagher

Joe Hill is the obvious answer but Bill Hader would be a close second.

u/Competitive_Abroad96 avatar

Josh Mcdermit, Eugene in the Walking Dead.

u/FooFightersFan777812 avatar

Stephen King knows things

More replies

People, for the love of Gan - Joe King is not a fucking actor.

Brad Dourif

I feel this 200%, he’s also been in the Graveyard Shift film

His son

INB4 one of his sons

Unfortunately, someone said it.

u/MICKEY_MUDGASM avatar

Sam Rockwell

I could see Joe Keery playing him if he gained a little bit of weight

Tim Robbins

u/LebowskisOleLady avatar

Bill Hader for sure. Willem Dafoe, possibly. Gary Oldman, aka Gary Everyone/Thing, because well….

My fan cast: Bill Hader- young Stephen king Rainn Wilson- old king Jackson Robert Scott as kid Stephen king Finn wolfhard or jaden martell as teen Stephen king

Ethan Hawke

He'd have to make a cameo in his own biopic though

u/bored-dude111 avatar

That store owner from IT 2

Paul Dano could knock it out of the park.

Bill Hader would be #1 choice.

I also think Timothy Olyphant could pull it off.

Edited

Rainn Wilson for sure.

Bob Lazar lol I used to always confuse the two.

Nick Offerman

u/Few-Jump3942 avatar

Beau Bridges

u/Upstairs_Internal295 avatar

Rainn Wilson.

u/PolarWater avatar

Bill Nighy would do a great job at portraying current King. Young King? Bill Hader.

u/eddie964 avatar

Timothy Simons (Jonah from Veep) has the lanky, too-tall thing going for him, plus some acting chops.

u/3DimensionalGames avatar

My favorite actor, Stephen King, looks JUST like this guy!

Stephen King

Richard Bachman. He died, unfortunately.

u/Broad-Diamond3777 avatar

Jude law

Yaphet Kotto

Kyle Maclachlan.

u/viridiusdynamus avatar

Jesse Plemmons

If his son wasn’t available, then I pick Jermaine Clement

Yeah bill hader that's about it

As a kid, Julian Hilliard. He was in Wandavision, kid looks a lot like King. As an adult, i would pick Michael Fassbender.

My highschool drama teacher - no joke

The Rock

The kid from Stranger Things

Caleb?
