Okay, so from what I know, Shadow's golden wrist rings were not originally supposed to be power inhibitors in SA2. But they did become established as that in Sonic X. And then eventually that got brought into mainline game Sonic canon with Sonic '06.
So, my question for today: Do you think the movies will also make his rings power inhibitors? Do you think it might get to the point where he'll actually take them off?
And finally, there's that moment at the end of SA2 where Sonic manages to recover one of Shadow's rings as he fell to his "death," and proceeds to give it to Rouge in remembrance of him; Do you think that will drastically altered or even cut from the movie 3? I've always found that a very touching moment, especially because I thought it implied that Sonic had tried to save him, but I don't know if it'll make it to movie 3. I would be sad if it didn't, but depending on how the movie actually ends, I would overall be fine with it.

I wonder if Sonic got the rings back after the snowboarding scene in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and I wonder who found them.
If you look at Shadow's rings in his November teaser, the four rings have 2 gaps on each one. So this can confirms indirectly the inhibitors rings are in the film.
I just looked at the picture again and you're right! They look noticeably different from his rings in-game, probably the most different aspect of his movie design from the games.
I'll definitely take this as an indication that he'll have inhibitor rings in movie 3.
In fact, thoses rings are based on the SA2 rings Shadow wears, which also has those gaps. Strange that this detail doesn't exist anymore on his actual 3D game model.
