WarioWare feels absolutely tailor-made for an animated series.

If you’re a fan of the C. H. Greenblatt series "Jellystone", I think that’s a good point of reference for what a WarioWare cartoon can be like.

You know LoZ is getting a live-action movie, right?

Yo, really?

Yup

Nice. 😎👌

It’s being directed by the guy who did the new Planet of the Apes movie. Apparently, it’s a dream come true for him and he’s been thinking about it for years.

Little Nightmares, the game has such a creepy and dark atmosphere that I think it could do well as a creepy stop motion and animation movie

Speaking of Stop-Motion, there was that one rumor that Henry Selick was originally gonna make a Stop-Motion Movie out of Little Nightmares which definitely sounds pretty cool to be honest.

It gives me Coraline vibes

Henry Sellick is actually doing a movie of it!

Considering it gives me Coraline vibes, I can think of no one better to do it.

Amazon is working on a God of War show, and Sony pictures is working on a live action Zelda movie
Kirby: Right back at ya! already exists, and Splatoon has a manga, which is currently the closest we have to stories outside of games

Little Nightmares has nothing as far as I know though

Isn't there Kirby Right Back At Ya? I've never seen it so I couldn't tell you if it's good or not but I know it exists

An actual Kirby movie based on one of the games would be pretty cool tho!

Kirby Right Back at Ya is an anime show, so not a movie. Plus it’s not super easily accessible nowadays anyway.

The OP did say show and movie, which is why I asked about it.

Your right there's probably no easy way to watch it though, I doubt it would be on any modern streaming services.

Metroid. With the right director and right tone, it could be a really fun an intense movie!

Yesssss like a Horror/Adventure

Ridley has the best horror movie name without sounding insanely edgy. Cunning God of Death would be a horrifying thing to hear from a nearly dead person.

Splatoon though would be a sweet movie. Unfortunately it's gonna need like 5 more games to get enough brand recognition

It's already a manga.

While I agree with you, I think that worldwide, it needs more recognition but I think in Japan its one if the most popular games ever, don't qoute me on that but I could've swore I heard it somewhere lol.

But I agree, it's not as iconic as mario and zelda.

I think DDLC would work well as both a movie and TV show

Cookie Run Kingdom feels like it was born to have an anime adaptation

Bugsnax and Friday Night Funkin' would be cool to see, but I don't know if they would translate well

u/thisSubIsAtrocious avatar

Celeste (movie), and Bug Fables (tv show)

Edited

Red Dead Redemption 2 and Detroit Become Human.

How would DBH work considering its a choose your owj story game

Both choose your own stories which is why I think they'd have to run a mixed run approach, with both low-high honor decisions from Arthur depending on the scenario, and a mix of deviant-machine run. For RDR2 it's pretty easy since Arthur dies either way, just that the way he dies and the impact he has on audiences is massively different depending on his honor. With Connor, an ending could be something like a human victory where androids lose but survive, and Connor remains a machine, but is unsure about his loyalties at the end, for a potential S2.

There’s a Kirby anime, friend.

I still want a Theatrical Release for Ice Climbers…

Metroid, considering the fact the film Alien was an major influence to the series, with Ridley being named after the director Ridley Scott himself. The District 9 director Neill Blomkamp expressed major interest of making one.

It's about time Plants VS. Zombies got adapted. Apparently DreamWorks wanted to do it but the deal fell through for some reason.

I say let Sony have a go. If they could make Angry Birds work, surely they can do this.

Mass Effect for me. Plenty of potential for a good story in an adaptation there.

Sable(as a tv show) Horizon zero dawn(As a movie)

Dunno if any of you have heard of the Nintendo Switch game Vitamin Connection, but I was playing the demo recently, and I felt like it had potential for a TV show, like a SatAM series!

u/SelectShop9006 avatar

Tokyo Afterschool Summoners! It’s a great game.

Dishonored would be amazing, so would Ghost of Tsushima (I think they're actually making that one lol)

Undertale and deltarune have potential

u/HazaldorDrakestone avatar

Kirby has a Tv-Show. It was called "Kirby Right Back At Ya"

u/Maleficent_Apple4169 avatar

im still waiting for the henry selleck little nightmares show

F.E.A.R. and Dishonored. For indie games I'd say Enter the Gungeon and Streets of Rouge would be fun animated serieses

u/Pepe_De_Froog avatar

I think a GoT-style elden ring show that takes place before the shattering would be amazing. There's so much room to expand the characters and lore already present in-game, and in general, it would be interesting to see how the world of elden ring would function if it weren't in a post-apocalyptic state.

u/LToons14 avatar

1; Kirby DID have a show in the 90s or early 00s, (don't fact check me on that), and 2; A Little Nightmares movie would be the shit, hands down

OMG A SPLATOON MOVIE WOULD BE AMAZING

God of War’s getting a Prime show.

u/Triforce805 avatar

Splatoon I feel would work better as a show, written similarly to how the Splatoon manga is written. (Coming from a huge Splatoon fan)

u/Samantha-4 avatar

Pikmin could be great as a show, just take the idea of the short films they made and extend it into a whole cartoon.

Dishonored, and just for the heck of it: directed by Guy Ritchie 🤷

u/Vilgotek2 avatar

Legend of Zelda is getting a live-action movie dude

Also God of War is getting like a tv show from Jeff Bezos's company Amazon

Edited

Series: Kingdom Hearts as an animated series that mixes the art styles of anime and the Disney Renaissance. Disney could even collaborate with a Japanese animation studio for it if they wanted to.

Movie: Luigi's Mansion could make a fun spinoff of The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

I think as a Video Game as well, Uncharted is quite underrated and not spoken enough. I know that an Uncharted Movie was Released. As an Uncharted Fan, that Movie Was Terrible. Naughty Dog; Creator of Uncharted, also successful for The Last Of Us. Which is now a Hit TV Show. And this makes me quite sad as Uncharted as a TV Show would be phenomenal. I could possibly imagine it being better than The Last Of Us. And with Uncharted having more Games than The Last Of Us, this also means more Seasons. Uncharted can even have a Spin Off Miniseries, Uncharted: Lost Legacy. Just Like How The Last Of Us was very Faithful, I wish for Uncharted to be as Faithful.

They tried, I know, but they really need another chance - Warcraft.

Portal

Which, it's reportedly in production, but it's been that way for years so at this point I think we'll get Half Life 3 first.

Skylanders should get a live action/CGI hybrid that isn't canon to the games and retells the first 5 games as a saga before doing a wholly original story for the finale of that saga.

So Adventure, Giants and Swap Force as Trilogy 1.

Trap Team, Superchargers and 6th movie as Trilogy 2.

The same generation of characters throughout so not a Star Wars situation.

Trying to adapt the Mortal Kombat games into movies was a mistake, the better option would be to adapt them as a TV show.

God of war would likely suck but it would be a fun concept
