Columbus Weather: Thursday brings a break from the rain

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Good Thursday morning! It has been a couple of very wet days with rain & storms. Thankfully we will get a break from the rain today.

THURSDAY: Early patchy fog, partly cloudy, high 78.
TONIGHT: Scattered rain arriving, low 62.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy, scattered rain & storms, high 75.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy, scattered rain & storms, high 78.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy, high 82.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny, high 84.

We are starting off with temps in the mid 50s and patchy dense fog, especially south/east parts of Ohio. That will clear out and we will be partly cloudy with a high around 78 today. There is a very slim chance for a stray shower popping up today, less than 10% chance. Most of Central Ohio will likely stay dry today. More clouds tonight, ahead of our next round of rain arriving tomorrow morning. Another area of low pressure will be here for Friday, Friday night, and Saturday. It will be similar to what Ohio just had for Tuesday and Wednesday with rain from time to time. We will remain a little warmer with high temps around 75 on Friday then 78 on Saturday as the rain will start moving to the south/east through the day on Saturday for a lower chance of rain the second day of rain.

Sunday we will start heating up to a high around 82 with partly cloudy skies. Most forecast models are keeping Sunday dry with one model trying to linger on to a slim chance of stray rain. We will heat up more, 84 for the high, on Monday with mostly sunny skies.

We heat up to a high around 85 on Tuesday with rain returning late Tuesday and more rain likely on Wednesday. We cool down some on Wednesday because of the rain. High temperature around 78 on Wednesday. Enjoy the dry days as much as you can. Have a good one!
