Director de la escuela primaria Sharpstein nombrado

Walla Walla Public Schools announces Sarah Edwards has been named the new Sharpstein Elementary School principal following a comprehensive hiring process which included input from parents, staff, community members and students.

Edwards currently serves as the Principal of Discovery Primary School in Fife, WA. She was also Assistant Principal at the same school and at two other schools in Washington state prior. Edwards has Dean of Students experience and was a classroom teacher for 15 years, including being named an Alaska Teacher of the Year finalist. She holds a Master’s in Education Administration from the University of Alaska and a Master’s in Education in Elementary Education from Grand Valley State University. Edwards received a Bachelor of Arts-English from the University of Michigan.

“Sarah is a strong advocate for student inclusion and access, experienced with special education and co-teaching practices, and well versed in the Professional Learning Communities at Work process,” said Superintendent Dr. Wade Smith. “Please join me in welcoming Sarah to our Walla Walla Public Schools family.”

Edwards will report July 1, 2024.
