Ahead of the show's upcoming final season, The Conners has just two episodes left to wrap up Season 6. CBR has a sneak peek at the penultimate episode, "Flying, Applying and Rassling Gators."

In the clip, Dan (John Goodman) and Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) are seated on board a plane just before takeoff. Dan reveals his fears about the flight, concerned about the inevitability of the plane crash, lamenting, "Every time the Conners get a win, it's just a matter of time before something horrible happens to us." Though Jackie does her best to convince Dan to think about the fun they'll be having in New Orleans, the Conner family patriarch just can't stop thinking about his imminent demise. The episode will premiere on Wednesday, May 15 at 9:30 p.m. PT/ET on ABC, and the sneak peek can be watched below.

The logline for "Flying, Applying and Rassling Gators," the 12th and penultimate episode of Season 6, reads, "Dan achieves a major financial milestone, making him reconsider his belief in the Conners curse; Mark finds out some news that causes him to reevaluate his future."

Along with Goodman as Dan and Metcalf as Jackie, The Conners stars Sara Gilbert as Darlene Conner, Lecy Goranson as Becky Conner-Healy, Emma Kenney as Harris Conner-Healy, Ames McNamara as Mark Conner-Healy, and Jay R. Ferguson as Ben. From Werner Entertainment, the show is executive produced by Tom Werner alongside Sara Gilbert, Bruce Helford, Dave Caplan, Bruce Rasmussen, and Tony Hernandez.

The synopsis for Season 6 of The Conners states, "The Conners continue to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford. This iconic family—Dan, Jackie, Darlene and Becky —grapples with parenthood, marriage, financial pressures and aging in working-class America. Through it all—the fights, the coupon cutting, the hand-me-downs, the breakdowns—with love, humor and perseverance, the family prevails."

The Conners Has Been Renewed for a Seventh Season

The Conners will conclude its sixth season on May 22, but that won't be the end of the series. It was recently announced that The Conners was renewed for a seventh and final season to close out the story. Ahead of the final season, The Conners will reach 106 total episodes by the end of the current sixth season.

"Flying, Applying and Rassling Gators" will premiere on ABC on Wednesday, May 15 at 9:30 p.m. PT/ET. New episodes of The Conners are made available on demand and on Huilu on the following day.
