George Soros-funded groups like USCPR (US campaign for Palestine rights) pay fellows to start protests on campus and reportedly pay about $2,880 and $3,660 to college students who participate in these protests. While paying students to embark on protests across America, it was also reported by New York Post that some university encampments like Columbia also entice college students with things like pizza, coffee, sandwiches and more. While these may be juicy, there are other ways you can earn money as a college student without joining paid protests. Some of these include:

Teaching Computer Programs

As a college student, you are very likely already familiar with creative programs and possess basic tech skills. You can make good money from teaching people, especially the older generation how to use simple computer programs like Powerpoint, Excel and Word. If you’re particularly creative, you could move to teaching people how to use Photoshop, Canva or other numerous creative tech tools. This is quite flexible and you can make between $50-$100/hour. Nextdoor and Craiglist are some of the best places to get started.

If you’re passionate about political matters, you could consider joining political campaigns instead of doing paid protests, this way your effort is more impactful. Most political campaign offices in the cities are always eager to hire field staff and the hours are usually flexible with decent pay. Bear in mind that most of them require you to be registered.

It’s a good way to earn both money and experience while you’re in college. They’re not hard to get and the pay is fair but many of them usually don’t last up to a month. So if you’re up to this and not looking for something long-term, consider doing a micro-internship.
