The Staatsoper Unter den Linden has announced its 2024-25 season.

Premieres

Luca Salsi and Anna Netrebko team up for Verdi’s “Nabucco.” Ivan Magrì, Marina Prudenskaya, and René Pape join them. Anastasia Bartoli also performs. Bertrand de Billy conducts the new production by Emma Dante.

Performance Dates: Oct. 2-26, 2024

Gounod’s “Roméo et Juliette” receives a new production featuring multiple casts. Aida Garifullina and Nino Machaidze share the role of Juliette, while Amitai Pati, Long Long, and Juan Diego Flórez sing Roméo. Marina Prudenskaya, Katharina Kammerloher, Ema Nikolovska, Corinna Scheurle, Jaka Mihelač, and Nicolas Testé also star in Mariame Clément’s new production. Stefano Montanari and Giuseppe Mentuccia conduct.

Performance Dates: Nov. 10, 2024-June 21, 2025

György Kurtág’s “Fin de Partie” will be conducted by Alexander Soddy and directed by Johannes Erath. The production will star Stephan Rügamer, Dalia Schaechter, Laurent Naouri, and Bo Skovhus.

Carl Maria von Weber’s “Der Freischütz für Kinder” will be directed by Kai Anne Schuhmacher. Elias Corrinth conducts a cast that includes Sonja Herranen, Serafina Starke, Andrés Moreno García, Friedrich Hamel, Manuel Winckhler, and Dionysios Avgerinos.

Leoš Janáček’s “Die Ausflüge des Herrn Brouček” will be conducted by Simon Rattle and directed by Robert Carsen. The cast will include Peter Hoare, Aleš Briscein, Gyula Orendt, Lucy Crowe, Carles Pachon, Clara Nadeshdin, Natalia Skrycka, Taehan Kim, Arttu Kataja, Stephan Rügamer, and Linard Vrielink.

Rachel Willis-Sørensen and Irina Lungu sing the title role of Bellini’s “Norma” with Dmitry Korchak, Elmina Hasan, and Riccardo Fassi. Francesco Lanzillotta conducts the new production by Vasily Barkhatov.
