SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) – Happy Tuesday, Utah! We’re a bit unsettled today as we are in the middle of a series of weak disturbances impacting the state.

A cool front moving through the state last night will slightly lower high temperatures today and bring the chance of isolated storms to parts of the state.  Across the state, we’ll see partly cloudy skies with temperatures cooling about five to eight degrees since yesterday but will keep highs close to or slightly above seasonal norms.

The bottom line? The workweek begins with spring warmth across the state, but a few weak systems will keep us a little unsettled.

You can expect low to mid-70s along the Wasatch Front, while places like Park City reach the 60s and 70s again.  St. George will once again be the warm spot by reaching the low 90s.  We hold onto the chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms for a bulk of Utah including even a slight chance in Washington County. Showers and storms will mainly favor the high terrain, but a slight chance still exists in the lower elevations this afternoon into this evening.

Another weak system will brush by Utah as we move into the midweek. Wednesday keeps a slight chance of showers or storms in the forecast and mainly targets areas east of I-15 all the way down to South Central Utah. Like the beginning of the work week, that best chance will continue to be over the mountains. Outside of any showers, skies will continue to be mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Daytime highs will also ease down slightly meaning most will be within a few degrees of seasonal norms yet again tomorrow.

As we head towards the close of the work week, high-pressure returns with sunshine and above-average highs. Ample sunshine and warming temperatures will once take over. Daytime highs will reach the upper 70s for northern Utah, possibly 80 degrees or above for Salt Lake on Friday. The warmth will likely stick around into this weekend; however, we could become a little unsettled once again this time next week. We will monitor the potential of wet weather so stay tuned!
