Nolan Colwell was 2 for 3 with a home run and Trevor Margetak had two RBIs.

Bay Rivers District

Grafton 8, Jamestown 0

Luke Wilz had two hits and two RBIs as the Clippers finished with nine hits. Three Grafton pitchers combined on a two-hitter.

York 5, Smithfield 1

Bobby Holihan had two hits and three RBIs, while Will Hunt allowed two hits and an unearned run with seven strikeouts over five innings to earn the win for the Falcons (12-6) against the Packers (12-5). Smithfield’s Keegan Saunders tripled and scored.

Beach District

Ocean Lakes 10, Norview 0

Seniors Jack Marchesi, James Cummings and Colin Benson celebrated Senior Day with two hits each, while Sean Burke (7-1) permitted just one hit in a five-inning shutout with 10 strikeouts for the Dolphins (13-6).

Abbie Kegley hit a grand slam, doubled and finished with five RBIs, while Libby Britt homered and finished with two hits as New Kent (16-2) clinched the Bay Rivers District regular-season title. Hannah Tober had two hits and scored twice. Alyssa Laney had two hits for the Islanders (15-3), who yielded two runs in the fourth and five in the fifth.

#14 Kempsville 13, Churchland 4

Ari Ferguson led the Chiefs with three hits.

#15 Great Bridge 4, #11 First Colonial 3

Aubrey Steckline, Gabby Kleier, Hannah Ferrell and LB Scott each had a hit, and Steckline and Kassidy Dashiell each drove in a run.

Bay Rivers District

York 13, Smithfield 1

The Falcons pounded out 14 hits in a six-inning victory. They were led by Olivia Brock’s three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs. Kenlee Washington added two hits and scored two runs. A seven-run third put them ahead 9-0.

Peninsula District

Warwick 5, Phoebus 4

Gabriella Hardy struck out seven to earn the win, and Nataleigh Gabriel went 3 for 3 with a single and two triples. Sophia Littles went 2 for 3, and Gabriel and Yanaiya Burke each had two RBIs.

Non-district

Nansemond River 6, Nandua 2

Taylor Shreck pitched a complete game, allowing one earned run and striking out five, while Demetria Burton had four hits, including a double and triple. Angelina Dickens also added a double and a triple.

Division II quarterfinals

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy 3, Atlantic Shores 2

The top-seeded Saints rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to survive an upset bid and keep their hopes of a repeat alive. Marin McGowan led off with a single and reached second on a throwing error. Pinch runner Carleigh McCoy scored from second on a triple by Sophia Grant, and Paige Meeks executed a squeeze bunt to score Grant. NSA plays a semifinal at 3 p.m. Thursday at Dinwiddie Sports Complex. The Seahawks finished 9-13.

Isle of Wight Academy 16, Seton 5

The No. 2 seed Chargers scored seven runs in the first two innings and took advantage of five errors by their visitors from Manassas. Kaitlyn Springle had three hits and three RBIs and winning pitcher Nora Pye had two hits, including a home run. Reese Upton went 2 for 3.

Christchurch 13, Miller School of Albemarle 8

Division III quarterfinals

Greenbrier Christian 10, Fuqua 0

Elizabeth Thome and Cayden Thomas both had two hits and two RBIs to propel the Gators’ offense. Linda Hodge had 13 strikeouts in a five-inning shutout. Greenbrier Christian moves on to play Kenston Forest at 5 p.m. Thursday in a semifinal at the Dinwiddie Sports Complex in Sutherland.

Kenston Forest 14, Hampton Christian 1

The Kavaliers won easily, ending the Warriors’ season at 9-8.

Broadwater Academy 4, Southampton Academy 1

The Vikings will play a semifinal at 5 p.m. Thursday at Dinwiddie Sports Complex.

Seniors Corinna Iriarte and Madison Glisson had two goals each in their last game for the Marlins. Ki’Niya Parker, Isabella Pierce, Kate Smith and Gabby Arriola (two assists) also scored.

Sarah Cash scored twice and assisted Madeline Davis on another goal as the 12th-seeded Navigators knocked off the No. 5 seeds in Northern Virginia. Sarah Kokolis also scored for HRA, which overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit.

Kellam 9, Salem 0

Singles wins by Austin Zeigler, Chase Taylor, Mael Poitrasson, Michael Fraim, Luke Fraim and Garrett Austin helped the Knights (13-2) extend their school record for victories in a season. The host SunDevils won just two games in doubles and two in singles.

Princess Anne 9, Bayside 0

The Cavaliers swept the singles matches in straight sets and lost just three games in doubles.

Golf

VISAA Tournament

Greenbrier Christian’s Macie Rasmussen continued her recent spectacular play in winning the individual medal on Williamsburg National Golf Club’s Yorktown Course. She carded a 5-under-par 67 and won by six shots over her nearest competitor in Division II. Two players in Division I and one player in Division III also recorded 67s.

Greenbrier Christian finished fourth among the six schools in Division II tournament. Alongside Rasmussen’s 67 for the Gators, Jackson Burris shot 85, Dunni Scozzofava 88, Connor Bowden 91, Carter Diehl 97 and Max Vinson 107.

Nicholas Gibson of Denbigh Baptist, one of four players chosen as an individual to play in the Division III event, shot 84.
