Neil Young & Crazy Horse Take ‘Sedan Delivery’ For 1st Spin Since 2013

After postponing their concert on Wednesday night due to inclement weather, Neil Young & Crazy Horse treated fans who stuck around until the end of Thursday’s make up show with the first performance of “Sedan Delivery” in over a decade. The bust-out took place near Nashville at FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, Tennessee.

“Sedan Delivery” first appeared on the 1979 Neil Young & Crazy Horse album, Rust Never Sleeps. Recorded during the sessions for 1975’s Zuma, a version of the song was released on the “lost” Chrome Dreams album, which was recorded in 1977 and finally issued in 2023.

Thursday’s bust out came at the end of a 17-song performance, and as the third song of the second encore. The Love Earth Tour sees legendary guitarist Neil Young joined by bassist Billy Talbot and drummer Ralph Molina, as well as guitarist Micah Nelson. The tour continues tomorrow at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia.

According to Neil Young setlist database Sugar Mountain, Young last performed “Sedan Delivery” at the Crazy Horse concert held on August 7, 2013 at the Oslo Spektrum in Oslo, Norway. Also notable was the first Crazy Horse live performance of the Young rarity “Vampire Blues.”
