Ankeny Centennial High School Reviews
Rating 4.15 out of 5 201 reviews
Ankeny Centennial is a good school however they often neglect some things and shoved other things down students throat. We have awesome teachers who care about their students, and we have many clubs and activities to participate in. We have every sport under the sun, and over 30 clubs. We also have many activities and other things to bring our school together. We have fun homecoming games, a dance and a pep assembly. We also have service days that we have seniors help our community. Ankeny Centennial is a good place to go to school. However as a Christian I feel muted for my religion while gay and other clubs are promoted. This is hard but also life. Over all the school is a good place and somewhere for students to grow.
Going to school at Ankeny Centennial has been a great experience. I have been able to be a part of both sports and the arts and I can say that both activities are enjoyable regardless of who you are and they can really make you feel at home. Being at Ankeny Centennial you can feel the effort and care that the administration is giving towards the students, and that creates a very safe space for everyone.
Sports are a big priority here, with little or no budget for STEM clubs like the robotics club. Also, there is no orchestra program. Academics are what you would expect from a moderately affluent suburban school.
