MAXWELL – We announce the passing of ROGER MAXWELL, of Wavell Avenue, Black Rock, St. Michael who entered into rest on Friday, 12th April, 2024. Son of the late Cecil and Violet Maxwell; Loving father of Deborah Babb (USA), Angela Odle and the late Erskine Leslie; Grandfather of Rodney Babb, Shernell King, Kareem Dowling, Janelle Leslie and Wayne Odle (Canada); Great-grandfather of Aisha Babb, Jacavio Cox, Quashaun Lynch, Nivea Lopez, Kareem Dowling Jr., Jaliyah Wong and Jaden Leslie (Canada); Adoptive father of Judy, the late Maureen and St.Clair Leslie; Cousin of Margaret Bishop, Marcia Hunt (Canada), Maxine, Adrian, and Hugh McClean, Gloria and Doreen Maxwell, Marguerita Hinds, the McClean, Maxwell and Leacock families of Black Rock; Father-in-law of Wayne Odle; Special friend Kerry Connell (Caregiver), Alison Connell, Tamira and Rico Hoyte. The funeral of the late ROGER MAXWELL leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Thursday, 25th April, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. for the Church of God, Chapman Street, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. for the Service. The funeral will then proceed to Westbury Cemetery for the interment. Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, 25th April, 2024. Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, 24th April, 2024 from 4-6 p.m.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
