in all seriousness, they kind of give the vibe that they talked out whatever issues they had at some point during the season airing and ended up at least chill with each other
I think that’s the most likely scenario. When Venus did her exit press the only person at Ponderosa she singled out for being nice to her was Hunter.
Hunter seems like the kind of guy that will leave the game in the game and will try to smooth the rough patches that were created in the game.
He needs to come back for another season.
Obviously, armchair analyzing on my side, but Hunter strikes me as the kind of person who doesn't try to hold grudges and would talk stuff out if he had issues with someone, especially since he's a teacher.
I know some people will jump at the opportunity to disagree with this, but Venus actually doesn't seem the type either. In and out of game she consistently seems like she just wants to patch things up with people and get along, so it doesn't actually surprise me that her and Hunter specifically made up.
Reminds me that Venus was actually so supportive of Soda on Twitter for the longest time, especially when people were saying nasty things to Soda about her body. She even blocked all of those people. Not gonna lie, that's why it shocked me at first when Soda posted that whole essay regarding Venus' exit interview, when I thought it was kinda obvious she wasn't talking about her (she even called Soda a sweetheart). But I guess it's because Soda thought people were going to speculate the wrong person so she had to clear the air somehow. Someone said it's just some ploy for her to get casted again though.
True. During the earlier part of the season, Venus would go live on IG whenever an episode drops. And whenever someone mentions Soda in a bad light, she would always say "We love Soda" and remind everyone to keep it cute in the comments.

During her Rhap exit interview, Venus showed hesitancy to play again because of her bad experience.
Venus is also a loud and proud advocate for women in general, so I don't think being supportive of Soda after the game was any ploy to gain favour, she genuinely thinks women should uplift women.
I think Hunter truly, truly does not care what people think of him and this is all a big, fun game for him. Coupled with not holding grudges means he easily gets on with people, especially post-show. I think Venus likewise doesn't hold grudges but I do think she deeply cares what people think of her so that's why we see a more defensive/aggressive response to thinks from her.
I think she sorta does or at the least if she feels wronged by people she's willing to bury the hatchet, but wants whomever she may have issue with to do it of their own accord. I mean in her exit interviews she mentioned how most of the jury didn't speak to her or offer an apology she felt she was deserving of.
Venus doesn’t hold “in-game” grudges. Or so it seems. But she definitely holds a grudge if she thinks it crosses that line like with Tevin. Maybe Maria.
yeah for whatever reason everyone here is giving only hunter credit for putting the game behind them and being mature but in order for them to be friends, venus had to do the same
Plus it’s in a situation where it behooves everyone else to gang up on an outsider and feed the negative perceptions of others.

I will say at the RHAP live event after party they were definitely talking. At one point I saw Venus fully reach her arm out to grab Hunter and pull him aside (like to get away from the crowd and talk one on one). Whether they are fully on good terms or not who can say but, they seemed friendly enough.

I think they’re friends. Probably Ponderosa helped a lot and I do think Venus came into Ponderosa wanting to put the game aside and keep it there. I know Venus still came for Hunter after his exit interview but I imagine they squashed that immediately privately.

This is exactly how my brother and I would interact if we were ever stuck with each other 24/7. It's very much giving me annoyed sibling vibes. I don't think they dislike each other, but are also not hankering to spend time together.

FWIW Venus followed Hunter on Twitter, one of only like 3 people from the cast she followed. It also does seem like they’re friendly outside of the show, so I get the vibe they worked out their issues on the island

Honestly, I think Venus has a crush on him and she is objectively pretty. During the game, he was too focused and it pissed her off, but outside of that, he probably gave her a little attention and now wage is smitten.

This isn’t meant to as an insult to Venus, but Hunter is very used to working with younger people who are still developing mentally, are finding themselves, and have not yet fully mellowed out. Not only working with them, but trying to get them to grow and mentor them. So it doesn’t shock me that he would be able to roll with Venus a lot more easily than anyone else.
Hunter works with kids and Venus is 25. I would be insulted if I were Venus.
