This heartwarming, inspirational family drama concerns Mia Williams (Ali Faulkner, a young girl raised as an only child by her mother, Sara (DeDee Pfeiffer. at a family-owned Bed and Breakfast. For years, Sara told Mia that her father went M.I.A. in the U.S. Gulf War. But circumstances shift dramatically when Sara suddenly and mysteriously dies. A man named Daniel Williams (C. Thomas Howell) turns up at the inn, and appears to be Mia's father. Local residents believe that he may have played a central role in Sara's death, but in time this suspicion fades, and Mia and Daniel begin to love and trust one another, forging a tight father-daughter bond.
