- KateSHot Springs, Arkansas, United States5,786 contributionsWe really loved this place! I am a Disney World regular, & my husband is anti-amusement-park, but we agreed to keep an open mind about what we would find here. It was amazing. We were both very pleased! The main draw for me was the sheer number of roller coasters, & the main draw for him was the opportunity to photograph some animals. When he discovered how short the ride wait times were, he agreed to ride a couple of coasters with me, & I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the animal areas with him. The entire visit was an overwhelming success. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5? The staff at the "vacation" club tent was deceptive in their methods of getting me to their tent. As we were walking, a woman in the middle of the sidewalk, wearing a name badge, asked, "What kind of pass you you have? Are you sure you're getting all the benefits that come with your pass?" Then once I got to the tent, I learned that they weren't concerned with my passholder benefits at all, but were instead overly aggressive in their tactics to sell me a week's vacation for $75. The guy at the tent actually asked why I wouldn't want to get my "free" vacation for $75. I told him all I wanted to do was ride roller coasters, & he shouted behind me that he just didn't understand why I was walking away from such an amazing opportunity. Everything else about this park was wonderful. The lines were short, the rides were amazing, & the few other experiences we had in the park were pleasant. We will return. But tip for future visitors: don't fall for the "passholder benefit" pitch from the employee on the sidewalk.Written March 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ChickenParm41USA752 contributionsNot Bad. I've been to better aquariums.
$40 per adult. Discount if you are >60 years young and small Military Discount.
Paid $15 to park for 3 hours, which is what you will need time wise.
We went on a sunny day in the middle of the week, so hoards of kids wasn't a big problem. There were a few schools visiting, but it wasn't crazy. I've heard that weekends and rainy days are very crowded.
The penguin display was very disappointing. They have a better one at the Tampa Zoo. There are NO Dolphins, certainly no whales.
They had some sharks and sea turtles. Many of the displays were small and the wildlife didn't look like they were exactly "living the life".
We went because we needed something to do and we have never visited before. It's okay to visit once. We won't be going back.Written April 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our Family just hosted our son's Wedding this past weekend and our Wedding Coordinator Shelly was Fantastic! After the outdoor intimate wedding, the guests were able to feed the giraffes, and have 2 other animal encounters during the cocktail hour. The reception was fun, the food was fabulous, Denise and her team were on point! I simply can't say enough about this venue and staff! What a night for our family and friends!Written April 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Punky1225Essex, CT10 contributionsFun way to experience Tampa! We went in a Wednesday around 4:00 pm. Not crowded at all, great views of Tampa, and water. There also have a water taxi for $34, that has several stops along the River.Written April 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LeslieinTNJonesborough, TN760 contributionsMy son and I came here to get some steps in at a peaceful location before heading to the airport to go home. It has nice boardwalks and pathed paths.Written March 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rebecca F1 contributionAttended the Madonna concert earlier this month. My daughter left a jacket at the arena and we were not able to go back in to retrieve it. I contacted Lost and Found and they were kind enough to locate the jacket and mail it back to us at no charge. Included was a handwritten note from Cathy at the arena. Wonderful customer service!Written April 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rod DAtlanta, GA174 contributionsYbor City is worth the visit. If you happen to like cigars, it’s definitely worth your time. But cigars aside, it is an interesting neighborhood.Written April 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SkicrazyBoston, MA10 contributionsThis is a lovely place to visit with easy parking. They do not have an actual guide but you can scan a QR code and download/listen on your phone. The antiques are very nice, a few rooms seemed as though the items had been thrown into them. the building also functions as an academic building and I was really amazed that the gorgeous staircases and carpet are in such great shqpe!Written May 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - serraturtleserraturtle86 contributionsThis theater is so beautiful and one of only a handful of historic theaters designed by John Emerson still standing. The peaceful decor inside is so soothing. We had so much fun watching the Barbie movie here! I’d recommend seeing anything here as opposed to the typical movie theater. What an experience!Written September 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- fiamma11Tysons Corner, VA5,594 contributionsThis area has changed since last I visited, and I think for the better. Beautiful water with lovely vistas. - Ightham1Ightham380 contributionsWe arrived here just as it started to rain and we ended up spending 3 hours walking around, reading and watching the informative films. - ChickenParm41USA752 contributionsWe went for the Tampa Tarpon's Opening Day. We had free tickets, but tickets were available for $2. It was Bark in the Park Day, so the stadium was full of fur babies.
Parking was totally free...imagine that!
It's minor league baseball and it is affordable fun.
The only other stadium nicer than this one is in Clearwater, BayCare Park.
The Yankees play their spring training games here every Feb-March.
There is a beautiful monument park outside the stadium, behind the homeplate area.Written April 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. However, don’t expect much from the kitchen; the food, in our opinion is somewhat disappointing. Definitely a place to imbibe on their well known beers!Written March 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Treehugn5 contributionsThe Jaeb theatre is a smaller, intimate setting where you feel connected to the show. We enjoyed it!This was our first time seeing a show at the Straz. We saw the parody musical, "STRANGER SINGS! with our teenage son and a couple of friends (we are all fans of the hit show, Stranger Things) and all enjoyed it. It was in the Jaeb Theatre, which is a smaller, intimate setting where you feel connected to the show. The venue would be perfect for acoustic shows as the small-ish stage is right in the middle and you can see the artists very well.
We sat center mezzanine (second floor), where there are round tables along the railing; we had a table of 5, so half of us had to turn our chairs to view forward, towards the stage. The arms on the chairs make it a tight fit -- when you need to get up, you have to move several chairs to navigate your way out. Perhaps armless chairs or chairs that aren't so wide would work better. Also, we ladies had nowhere to put our purses, so hooks under the table would have been nice (I always appreciate those when bars/restaurants have them). Otherwise, two thumbs up for the venue.Written April 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
