"Another instance of "Application" is already running error

This error appeared just today. When I open my application it says "Another instance of "Application" is already running even it isn't running. This happens when I open the app once and close and reopen, it says that error. I am on Windows 11.

When the error appears, I go to the Task Manager and end task. This seem to work but, when I open the app once again and close then reopen, it still has the same error.

I tried reinstalling the app but it still has the same problem and error.

Here is the screenshot of the error. I hope someone could help me out!

Hi,
Glad to hear it worked. This seems to be a bug with the recent update of the Messenger app, as I’ve seen some users reporting having this exact same issue as well. I suggest reporting this issue directly to the developer team and hopefully they'll be able to fix it soon. Open the Messenger app > Click your photo on top left > Preferences > Report a problem > Describe the issue you're experiencing > Click Submit. Thank you.
