Hon’ble Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh addressed public meetings in Salempur and Deoria, Uttar Pradesh on Friday. Shri Singh highlighted the developmental works and welfare policies under the BJP government led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He criticized the corruption of the Congress party and the disrespect shown towards women by the Aam Aadmi Party. During the event, Uttar Pradesh Minister of State Shri Chhattu Ram, Uttar Pradesh BJP State Minister Shri Govind Shukla, Salimpur candidate Shri Ravindra Kushwaha and Deoria candidate Shri Shashank Mani Tripathi, among other leaders were present.

Union Defence Minister Shri Singh stated that the entire country is currently celebrating the festival of democracy. Over the years, the citizens of India have become politically aware through consistent voting in India. So far, four phases of the election have been completed and political analysts both within India and globally believe that the Bharatiya Janata Party will once again form the government by securing more than 400 seats.

Shri Singh emphasized that the BJP has never played politics by misleading the public, instead, it has always faced the people directly and honestly. Shri Ravindra Kushwaha's greatest strength is his ability to maintain relationships effectively. In the past, leaders in independent India made so many fake promises to the public that people have lost their trust in them. The disparity between leaders words and actions has led to a decline in public trust in Indian politics and politicians. However, the BJP has embraced this challenge of bridging the gap between rhetoric and reality in politics.

Respected Shri Singh mentioned that since 1951, the BJP has consistently delivered on its promises outlined in its manifestos. Whether it was the abolition of Article 370, which granted special status to Kashmir, or any other issue, the party has always followed through. Today, Kashmir is an integral part of India and its citizens enjoy the same rights as other Indian citizens. While the Congress and Samajwadi Party members left the Ram Mandir matter hanging, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, with the guidance of spiritual leaders, moved Bhagwan Ram from a tent to his magnificent Mandir. The inception of Ram Rajya in India has commenced.

Union Minister Shri Singh emphasized that if every citizen fosters a sense of duty and responsibility towards society and the country, then Ram Rajya, an ideal state of governance, will be established. One of the most significant crises for the throne in Indian history was caused by Kaikeyi, who prioritized her sense of authority over duty. Similarly, the youth of the country should prioritize a sense of duty rather than just focusing on their rights towards the nation.

Respected Shri Singh stated that besides this, the BJP has also upheld its promise of abolishing triple talaq. Regarding the issue of triple talaq, the opposition used to perceive it as a matter pertaining to another religion. However, for the BJP, irrespective of the government's presence, upholding the dignity of women from all communities remains paramount. The BJP does not link the dignity of women with religion. BJP intends to enforce a Uniform Civil Code, and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is dedicated to this cause. BJP assures that it does not undertake any actions against any religion, and every citizen of India holds equal importance for the BJP.

Hon’ble Shri Singh stated that it was emphasized by all members of the Constituent Assembly that it is the duty of incoming MPs to uphold the Directive Principles of Policy outlined in the Constitution, and the BJP aims to fulfill the vision of the Constitution makers. However, the SP and Congress have joined forces to level baseless allegations against the BJP, leading to their current predicament where the public perceives the SP as a Samapt Party. In the 2014 Lok Sabha and 2017 Assembly elections, the public expressed their discontent by removing the SP from power, and this sentiment has continued in subsequent elections. Congress's situation has deteriorated to such an extent that after the 2024 elections, the public may even question the party's existence. Previously, during Congress rule, roads were built only up to 7-8 kilometers. However, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, road construction now spans 38-40 kilometers daily.

Union Minister Shri Singh stated that the BJP's objective is to enhance the global standing of the country. The BJP engages in politics not solely to attain governmental power but primarily to foster the nation's development. In both the 2014 and 2019 elections, the people elected BJP governments, and the party has demonstrated significant developmental strides in the country. BJP is committed to propelling the nation forward at an accelerated pace.

Hon’ble Shri Singh stated that a decade ago, India was perceived as a weak, impoverished and financially struggling nation, and its perspectives were not taken seriously internationally. However, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the world now regards India with earnest attention and respect. Former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee had elevated India to the 11th position in the global economy in 2004. Unfortunately, in the subsequent ten years until 2014, the Congress government failed to surpass this ranking. However, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India's economy has surged from the 11th to the 5th position.

Shri Singh stated that according to global financial institutions, the Indian economy is deemed the fastest-growing globally, with projections indicating that India will ascend to become the world's third-largest economic superpower by 2027. The sages and mystics of India have consistently espoused the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, advocating for the unity of mankind. Aligning with this principle, the BJP aims to elevate India to superpower status for the betterment of the world, with a focus on peaceful development rather than aggression towards other nations.

Defence Minister Shri Singh mentioned that he refrain from criticizing any Prime Minister of any party as believes that the Prime Minister represents not just an individual but an institution. India has made significant advancements in knowledge and science. Prior to 2014, India's defence sector exports amounted to only ₹600 crore. However, by 2024, India has successfully achieved defense exports worth 21 thousand crore. Under the governance of the BJP, India has exported BrahMos missiles rather than mere ammunition. Presently, India is progressing towards self-reliance across various sectors. It has transitioned from being perceived as a weak nation to emerging as a powerful one. India no longer adopts a submissive stance but is assertive when necessary. If any entity attempts to challenge India, the nation is fully equipped to deliver a fitting response.

Respected Shri affirmed that presently, the opposition is posing queries concerning the Indian government's handling of the situation with China. However, it remains a fact that India has not incurred any losses, and the BJP is steadfast in ensuring that no entity worldwide can seize anything from India. Additionally, it was reiterated that Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) was, is, and will always be an integral part of India. Following the revocation of Article 370, development has surged at an unprecedented rate in Jammu and Kashmir, prompting even the residents of PoK to express their desire to integrate with India. International human rights organizations should take suo motu cognizance of the human rights violations taking place in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.

Hon’ble Shri Singh stated that an atmosphere of confusion is being created among the public regarding the CAA. However, the BJP wants to make it clear that no one's citizenship will be revoked under the Citizenship Amendment Act. The opposition claims that if the BJP wins more than 400 seats, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi may assume a dictatorial role or end democracy. However, the citizens are well aware of who attempted to stifle democracy in independent India. Following her electoral defeat in 1975, Indira Gandhi imposed an emergency, curtailing the fundamental rights of the people. The democratic values flow in the veins of the nation's people, nobody can put an end to it. Congress has dismissed elected governments several times using the Constitution, is it not authoritarianism? However, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has refrained from dismissing any government in the past 10 years. Previously, India's voice was not heard much, but today, due to the influential and skilled leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is heard attentively on the global stage, and its recommendations are also acted upon. Addressing a conference, American diplomat Eric Garcetti remarked, "If you want to see the future, if you want to work on the future, come to India." He believes that even if the opposition is in power, they should be allowed to work. Today, to elevate India's pride, the invaluable votes of the people are required.

Union Minister Shri Singh remarked that the world is closely monitoring India's elections. In a bid to avoid frequent elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has suggested the concept of "One Nation One Election," which would also save resources. INDI Alliance leaders are currently engaged in political contests in Punjab. One leader of the INDI Alliance, recently released from jail, accuses Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of misusing organizations like the ED and CBI. These allegations have been substantiated in court. They have also deceived Anna Hazare. In his residence, an Aam Aadmi Party MP was subjected to physical assault, but despite being the party's leader and the Chief Minister of Delhi, not a single word was uttered. A leader ought to have the courage of a lion, a leader with a weak heart cannot work for the welfare of the world.

Hon’ble Defence Minister Shri Singh conveyed that under the BJP government, free distribution of 5 kilograms of grains is being facilitated for the poor. The BJP has made a commitment to include seniors from every social stratum and caste who are above 70 years old within the scope of Ayushman Bharat. This announcement, recommended by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji himself in the election manifesto, underscores the party's dedication to the welfare of the elderly. The widespread support from the people will directly contribute to the victory of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and will enhance India's standing globally.  Shri Singh urged the people to vote for the candidates to secure victory once again and form a BJP government with a resounding majority in the country.
