I dropped my blackberry bold in water, after drying it out with silica gel packets the phone won't read the batteries. I put a brand new battery in, but the phone has the no battery symbol. Please help.

    Water kills electronics....

All you can do is what you did.... and give it time. I'd remove the new battery and just give it a week or two to dry out. Might be a 1% chance it will eventually start to work.

Also you need to make sure your "new" battery isn't dead.... as that's not out of the question with the age of these.
