Lovely news for the happy couple!
Congratulations are in order for Coronation Street favourite Sam Aston and his wife Briony, as the happy couple have welcomed their third child into the world together.
Sam, who has played the iconic role of Chesney Brown in the long-running soap, took to social media to confirm the couple's lovely news, revealing Briony gave birth to a baby girl called Hazel on 7th May.
Sharing a selection of intimate photos from Briony's water birth, Sam told his followers: 'Welcome to the world...Hazel Marie Aston. 07.05.24. 8lbs 15oz✨. Precious moments captured by @summerjohnstonphoto'. (sic)
Sam's co-stars and fans were quick to congratulate the couple. Brooke Vincent wrote: 'Obsessed with everything ❤️❤️ congratulations my darling Astons ❤️'. (sic)
Hayley Tamaddon commented: 'Incredible photos! Huge congratulations to both of you ❤️'. (sic)

After getting married in 2019, Sam and Briony went on to welcome their son Sonny, three, and their daughter Daisy, two, before announcing they were expecting their third child during a heartfelt interview in November last year.
During the honest interview with OK! Magazine, Sam and Briony bravely revealed that they were expecting twins, but sadly lost one of the babies due to Vanishing Twin Syndrome.
Briony told the publication: "We were excited and thankful, because we always wanted a baby that was healthy. Then we started thinking, 'We could have had two... Will the living twin always wonder, 'What if?' and will they feel lonely? We found ourselves questioning what could have been, while feeling grateful for what we've got."
Briony explained that they found out the news during an early scan, with the devastating loss a result of Vanishing Twin Syndrome - where one of the babies stops growing, and the mother's body then absorbs the embryo and tissue.
She added: "If we hadn't had the early scan, I wouldn't have even known. But it does explain why I was so sick and tired this time around compared to my other pregnancies."
Sam said: "At first, you're thinking, 'What would it have been like to have twins? Would have had one of each, a boy and a girl?' Like Briony says, it's definitely bittersweet, but we just feel very grateful that the other baby is absolutely fine."
