It’s terrible. Like, unrelentingly horrid. BUT, Miguel A. Nuñez, Jr. is delightful in it. He gives this movie a thousand times more than it deserves. There are several lines that he obviously improvised and they’re hilarious. He’s an absolute champion.
Also, spoiler alert, I guess, but you never actually get to see the drone or find out what it did to save Christmas.

Next to zero drone holiday hijinks in this. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement.
Some tv series feel like padded-out movies. This movie feels like a condensed russian novel. A family farce with the pacing of a hangout movie, watching The Drone That Saved Christmas feels like getting lost inside a psychedelic McMansion.
The main character takes video calls with desperate countries who beg for drones. He promises them as many drones as they want out of the goodness in his heart. At one point he makes a video call where the other party's video is third-person coverage of someone talking on a cell phone, as if they aren't on camera. If that sounds confusing its because its perfectly confusing. All of this and I still fell asleep twice out of boredom. But I…
