Nick Allen RogerEbert.com Time and time again, "SMASH" made me laugh out loud -- hard -- and amazed that this show actually exists. Dec 11, 2021 Full Review Dan Fienberg Hollywood Reporter While I liked the slow-burn that Mooney and Jones are going for here, you have to accept that what's funny is the build-up and not the destination for any of the various storylines. Dec 10, 2021 Full Review Garrett Martin Paste Magazine Saturday Morning All Star Hits grows weirdly compelling the further you get into it. Rated: 7.5/10 Mar 22, 2022 Full Review Marty Brown Common Sense Media There are so many moving parts that it's a minor miracle that Mooney is able to bring it all together, and the result is one of the most unique comedies to come along in a while. Rated: 4/5 Jan 6, 2022 Full Review Petrana Radulovic Polygon Ultimately, my biggest disappointment with Saturday Morning All Star Hits! is a personal one - the scope is so limited that it's hard to appreciate if you're not part of the designated audience. Dec 15, 2021 Full Review Joel Keller Decider We appreciate that the satire goes super dark at times. But we so wanted it to be a whole lot funnier than it turned out to be. Nirvana D I very much enjoyed this. Especially the first 4 episodes. As it went on it got a little thin on some things. But however I enjoyed it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/24 Full Review Teddy B A uniquely compelling and hilarious experience that builds its already funny ideas into individually climatic endgames that vary in degrees of purely surreal and strangely insightful. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review Eddie M Funniest shit I've ever seen Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/12/23 Full Review Rick M Honestly at first I wasn't sure what to think of this show but it drew me in with it's nostalgia appeal and I am pretty hooked and it's super unique I can't believe I'm saying this but good job Netflix Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review D. L I really wanted to like this. The references were so clever and hit upon niche things that showed the writers either grew up in that era or did the deepest of dives. I even kind of liked the parody versions they came up with and they had a good cast. Unfortunately, most of the jokes did not land. They went for cringe or gross-out instead of genuine humor way too often for my taste. I know that was the whole idea, but it still felt like a bit of a waste of time. Smartly done, I just wished it was actually funny. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/08/22 Full Review Audience Member A hidden gem on Netflix. Funny parody of 1980s and 90s Saturday morning television.
