My favorite drink while still drinking alcohol was sparkling wine, preferably pink Champagne. When I stopped drinking, I started a new project: I wanted to try every single non-alcoholic version of sparkling wine ever made. More importantly, I wanted to share the results with other non-alc fans like you!
Here’s an overview of over 40 non-alcoholic sparkling wines I’ve tried and tested myself, including my reviews and Bubbly Rating! I awarded each bottle of non-alcoholic bubbles that I list here with anywhere between 1 – 10 Bubbles. 1 Bubble is the lowest and 10 Bubbles is the highest rating. This is based on my personal opinion.
About this list
This list shows the bubbles in alphabetical order with a short review. With regards to the different terms for no/low alcoholic beverages, I use the following two in this article (they may differ in different parts of the world):
Non-alcoholic: This term may be used on malt beverages, provided it contains no more than 0.5% alcohol by volume. Interesting fact: this is roughly the same percentage of alcohol found in freshly squeezed orange juice or a very ripe banana. Just for reference.
Alcohol-free: This term may be used only on beverages containing no alcohol whatsoever.

Carl Jung Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Wines
Carl Jung is a company that has been making non-alcoholic wines since 1908…! More than 100 years ago, Carl Jung Jr. developed a process for dealcoholization in his family winery at Boosenburg Castle in Rüdesheim am Rhein, Germany. His idea was to extract alcohol at room temperature with the help of a vacuum technique. Wine aromas were collected separately from the alcohol and reintroduced to the non-alcoholic wine.
In dealcoholized wines, the alcohol has been reduced to 0.5% ABV, compared with the typical 12 – 13%. These 5 non-alcoholic bubbles all have a max of 0.5% ABV and a maximum of 26 calories per 100ml, which is a nice little extra:
Carl Jung Peach: Beautiful pale straw color. Lively and refreshing. Lots of long-lasting bubbles. It smells and tastes peachy (as one could guess, haha) and is a nice kind of sweet. Has a pleasant light aftertaste. Delicious summer drink (would also work well as a spritzer). Bubbly Rating: 7/10
Carl Jung Mousseux: Smells like cava, like alcohol. These five wines all kind of do, which must have something to do with the dealcoholization process. Very light in color. Has delicate bubbles that fade a little bit. It doesn’t have much of an aftertaste (which I like) and drinks away easily as it’s light and fresh. Semi-dry. Bubbly Rating: 7/10
Carl Jung Bio Mousseux: Has the same nice, light color as the one above. It has a completely different taste, though; this one is a little tart and drier. The bubbles are active and long-lasting. For me, this one is among the best non-alcoholic sparkling wines I have ever tried. Bubbly Rating: 8.5/10
Carl Jung Blanc de Blancs: A sparkling and fresh wine from the Chardonnay grape. Semi-dry. Pleasant, active bubbles. Has an aromatic scent and a bit of an oaky undertone. A good option if you’re into Chardonnay! Bubbly Rating: 7/10
Carl Jung Rosé: It smells like strawberries (and a tiny bit like raspberry, too). Good, active bubbles. I found it quite sweet yet refreshing. Lovely as an aperitif. Bubbly Rating: 6.5/10
Classico from Lyre’s
Available in 250ml cans and 750ml bottles (the “Grande”), Lyre’s Classico is “an Italian-inspired sparkling with a crisp, dry finish.” That sounds exactly like my cup of tea…
As I poured it, I noticed that Classico has a nice, light color. Then I opened the can, and I smelled apple. Apple mixed with peach. Hoping it won’t be too sweet, I quickly take a sip… OMG, this is good! You can taste the apple and peach but also something else, something not fruity. I’m not sure what it is, but it works. Then, a tartness arises, which prevents Classico from getting too sweet and makes it a nice, well-balanced drink. It has fine, discreet bubbles and a fruity aftertaste. I like it! I’m a BIG fan of Lyre’s and couldn’t be happier that they added these lovely non-alcoholic bubbles to their range of alcohol-free spirits. Bubbly Rating: A big, fat 8/10
Codorniu ZERO
A non-alcoholic white sparkling wine (< 0.5% ABV) from Spain. Mwah, I’m not a fan. These non-alcoholic bubbles are too sweet to my liking and not very wine-like. Bubbly Rating: 5/10
Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Company BLÅ
The main base of this drink consists of Jasmine, White Tea, and Darjeeling (a combination of 13 teas in total). First of all, I love the bottle. It comes in a proper champagne bottle and looks nice and fancy. This drink contains 20 calories per 100ml. The Sparkling Tea has a beautiful color, nice and light. Active bubbles, slightly foamy after pouring. It smells a bit like black tea but with a freshness, very agreeable. Then the taste: it’s different… and a good different! It actually tastes like freshly made tea, but then it is cold and sparkly, with deep layers of unique flavors. An exciting and original drink. I taste Jasmine and a hint of lemon, which makes it nice and fresh. I’m a fan. A big one! Bubbly Rating: 9/10
Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Company LYSERØD
This drink has a principal base of Silver Needle, Oolong, and Hibiscus (a combination of 11 teas in total). It is the same gorgeous bottle as the BLÅ but with a pink/white label instead of white/blue. Lots of foam when pouring, which then slowly makes its way down. Nice salmon-y color. It smells similar to the BLÅ, which makes me wonder… but no, the LYSERØD has an entirely different taste altogether! It is VERY DRY, the driest non-alcoholic sparkling drink I have tasted so far (and I have tasted a lot…). I like it. You can taste the different teas without any of them being too overpowering. The bubbles are just right, and it drinks away easily. It is the perfect drink to have with a lovely summery lunch! Bubbly Rating: 8/10
Edenvale Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Cuvée
Made from only the best Southeastern Australian wine grapes, this premium alcohol-removed wine contains less than 0.5% ABV. I tried this bubbly in an Indian restaurant in London with some friends, and the verdicts were unanimous: what an amazing drink! It is refreshing (think green apples), has lots of big bubbles, has floral notes, and is semi-dry. It was delícious paired with our spicy Indian dishes! Truly, almost perfection… Bubbly Rating: 9.5/10
Élivo ZeroZero Sparkling
A non-alcoholic sparkling wine (0% ABV) produced here in Spain. It has a nice light color and smells almost like a normal Cava. The bubbles could be stronger. Then the first sip: it’s quite refreshing! A bit fruity/appley. Smooth, light, easy to drink. Somewhat similar to an alcoholic version. Fresh, although slightly acidic. It’s not overly sweet. All in all, not bad for non-alcoholic bubbles and nice to toast with. Bubbly Rating: 6.5/10
Fortnum & Mason Sparkling Tea
Produced and bottled by the Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Company. This Sparkling Tea (0% ABV – 150mg Caffeine per 1L) was developed by the award-winning Danish sommelier Jacob Kocemba. Fortnum & Mason says it’s “a certified organic blend of eight of our famous and rare brews—and despite its celebration-ready appearance, contains zero alcohol!”
The label on the bottle has a beautiful, fresh-looking design. An ideal bottle to serve on festive nights! On opening, a bit of cold “steam” escaped, which looked quite cool. The color of the sparkling tea is quite yellowish. It’s very bubbly, which I love, and leaves a bit of foam on the top after pouring. Then the taste… the taste is complex and original, unlike anything I’ve tasted. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I like it! It doesn’t taste sweet at all, and it’s quite dry. A really good option if you’re looking for something special, festive, and super stylish! Bubbly Rating: 7/10
Freixenet 0.0%
A non-alcoholic sparkling white wine made in Spain. This is quite a nice one. It is slightly sweet and fruity yet refreshing and very bubbly (which I like). Nothing outstanding, but simple and nice. Bubbly Rating: 6.5/10
Freixenet 0.0% Rosé
A non-alcoholic sparkling rosé wine made in Spain. I really enjoyed this one… It’s well-priced, not too sweet, has great flavor, and is full of bubbles; I’m a fan! Bubbly Rating: 8/10
French Bloom Le Blanc
A white organic French bubbly with 0% alcohol. It smells a bit appley and has fine bubbles. The first taste I get is that of pear and a certain freshness… then you start tasting apples and some refreshing acidity. It’s a perfectly-balanced combination of a smooth, easy-to-drink bubble with a deeper flavor profile than your usual alcohol-free sparkling wine. Beautiful label, too! This French bubbly is elegant and sophisticated, just like Maggie Frerejean-Tattinger (co-founder of French Bloom). Bubbly Rating: 9/10
French Bloom Le Rosé
A pink organic French bubbly with 0% alcohol. I tried this for the first time in London with some of my sober buddies, and the three of us unanimously decided: this is SO good! Words flying through the air were “peach,” “dry finish,” “tart,” and predominantly: “delicious.” Well done, French Bloom! You can tell they spent a lot of time on R&D as this drink is one of the best alcohol-free sparkling wines I have ever tried. And as you can see here, I have tried a lot! Le Rosé has a delicate bubble and a beautiful light peachy/pink color. Starts with a delicious taste of roses, red fruit, and peach… ends with a zingy freshness! I’m sold. Bubbly Rating: 9/10
Giesen 0% Sparkling Brut
An alcohol-removed sparkling wine from New Zealand. It’s nice and bubbly, with a buttery sensation. The acidity is quite high, towards my upper limit, and it’s not (too) sweet. I can distinguish some citrus, which makes it very refreshing. It has a crisp, dry finish. I really like it! Bubbly Rating: 8/10
(La) Gioiosa Sparkling White 0%
An alcohol-free sparkling wine from Treviso, Italy. La Gioiosa contains 5g of sugar per 100ml. It comes in an original bottle with a beautiful label. On pouring, I see that the color is quite light. Lots of fine bubbles, and I can smell the green apple as well as taste it (nice and fresh and a tad sour). There’s also some pear and citrus in there. It’s neither sweet nor dry. I really like this one! Bubbly Rating: 8.5/10
GRÜVI Bubbly Rosé
An alcohol-free sparkling drink produced in Canada. GRÜVI, located in Denver, Colorado, has its drinks produced in Canada. They offer an extensive range of non-alcoholic beverages, from beers to cocktails and wines, and the one I tried loved is the Bubbly Rosé. So good! This bubble has never been fermented, so it has 0% ABV and is delicious! Super bubbly, smells like strawberries, and tastes fruity and fresh with a hint of tartness. I’m sold. Conveniently offered in 275ml bottles, this is a great drink to bring to a party (you can drink it straight from the bottle!). Or have it at home when you don’t want to open a full-sized 750ml bottle. Bubbly Rating: 9/10
Henkell Alcoholfrei Sparkling Blanc
A non-alcoholic sparkling wine (<0.5% ABV) from Germany. These non-alcoholic bubbles were rather nice! Not too sweet and lots of bubbles. Bubbly Rating: 7/10
JoyUs Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Rosé
A non-alcoholic sparkling pink wine. It’s fruity with a hint of acidity, which makes it not too sweet. Very bubbly and nice and crisp. JoyUs sparkling rosé has a sophisticated taste that is close to a “real” (alcoholic) rosé. On top of all this, the bottle has an elegant label, making this a great gift! I really like it. Fun fact: The sparkling rosé from JoyUs won a gold medal in not only a completely blind tasting but also one of the biggest and oldest wine competitions in the world: The San Francisco International Wine Competition! Bubbly Rating: 8.5/10
Kolonne Null Cuvée Blanc Sparkling
A non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Contains 2.9g of sugar per 100ml. It’s a dry bubble with a fresh and fruity profile. I really like it. Bubbly Rating: 8/10
Kolonne Null Rosé Sparkling
A non-alcoholic rosé sparkling wine. Contains 2.9g of sugar per 100ml. This sparkling rosé has a beautiful salmon pink color and smells like a “normal” (alcoholic) wine. It has lots of fine bubbles that keep rising to the surface until you finish your glass. It is very dry (I love!) yet also fruity, and it has a nice sour bite. I would describe the Kolonne Null Sparkling Rosé as a dry, fresh and lively bubble with a tart bite. Really good! Bubbly Rating: 8/10
Lautus
Dealcoholized rosé sparkling wine produced in South Africa. Tastes like a fruity, red berry-like rosé with a fine fizziness. Not bad, albeit on the sweet side. Bubbly Rating: 7/10
LEITZ Eins Zwei Zero Sparkling Rosé
A non-alcoholic sparkling rosé. This has quite a dark pink color, almost like watermelon… smells very fruity. Tastes a bit like those hard, sour raspberry sweets from the old days. Has a clean and fresh vibe with quite a dry(-ish) finish. It’s nice and fruity and bubbly—not bad! Bubbly Rating: 7/10
MURI Passing Clouds
A sparkling wine alternative (0.4% ABV). This is a sparkling cuvée of fermented gooseberries, quince kefir, jasmine tea, woodruff, and geranium kvass. It is not like anything I’ve ever tasted; it’s original. Dry aftertaste. Quite nice, good for food pairing. Hint of salt. It tastes a bit like a shrub. Or Kombucha! It’s not really my thing, but that’s personal. You might love it. Bubbly Rating: 7/10
NO & LOW Sparkling Chardonnay
An alcohol-removed Chardonnay wine from 100% Spanish grapes. The No & Low N/A sparkling Chardonnay is fruity, it’s fresh, and it has a nice acidity to it. It tastes rather wine-like and is on the dry side, which I love! Add to that lots of bubbles, and I’m sold. Will definitely repurchase this. These non-alcoholic bubbles have less than 0.5% alcohol, are certified vegan, and contain only 16 calories per 100 ml. Bubbly Rating: 8/10
Noughty Chardonnay from Thomson & Scott
An alcohol-free, organic, vegan sparkling Chardonnay from London. On opening, it popped like it should and created a whirlwind of tiny, rising bubbles while pouring it—love it! It looks and smells like a nice Prosecco and tastes crisp and dry. Definitely one of my favorite non-alcoholic bubbles! Bubbly Rating: 8.5/10
Noughty Rosé from Thomson & Scott
An alcohol-free, organic, vegan sparkling Rosé from London, UK. The rosé has a lovely, pale pink color. It is light, easy to drink, very bubbly, not sweet, yet nice and fruity with the perfect amount of tartness. I love it! Bubbly Rating: 9/10
Oddbird Spumante
A sparkling non-alcoholic wine from the Italian province of Treviso, known as the Prosecco region. This is a high-quality bubble! It has a beautiful light color and large bubbles. The label is cool. It’s like a nice Prosecco, but without alcohol. This wine is vibrant, fresh, and crisp with a high amount of acidity. It is sweeter than their Blanc de Blancs and Rosé from France. Oddbird Spumante contains 4g of sugar per 100ml. You can clearly taste apple plus some citrus. I like it. Bubbly Rating: 8/10
Pierre Zéro Alcohol-Free Chardonnay
A non-alcoholic sparkling wine from France. Nice gold-ish color with a peachy smell. Tastes quite nice! Sweet, but nice! It has a good bubble and a very fruity/grape-like flavor. Pleasant aftertaste. I wouldn’t want to drink a whole lot of it due to the sweetness, but a nice 200ml bottle (which they offer!) goes down perfectly as an aperitif. Bubbly Rating: 6.5/10
Prima Pavé Rosé Brut
An alcohol-free sparkling rosé. The woman who founded Prima Pavé is Dejou Marano, a Certified Specialist of Wine, and that shows… These bubbles are handcrafted in Northern Italy and blended from elegant Italian grape varietals. 100% of the alcohol is removed using a one-of-a-kind additive-free method. Prima Pavé Rosé Brut bottles have a pretty label, and the wine is a beautiful, light salmon color. It smells like a rosé and has lively, tiny bubbles. Then the taste: it’s fruity and tart, my favorite combination in a bubble, and has a crisp, dry finish. This one is a big yes from me! Bubbly Rating: 9/10
Richard Juhlin Blanc de Blanc by OddBird
A non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Oh yes… a proper bubble that doesn’t give you a headache, no matter how much you drink of it. It is made in France from 100% Chardonnay grapes but it isn’t too sweet (and this is coming from a dry wine lover). It is fresh with a crispy acid in it, and it has clear fruity notes, too. I’m a big fan of this bubbly. Fun fact: Richard Juhlin, a Swedish writer on Champagne, created this bubble. Richard’s job consists of just Champagne-related activities (literally my dream job, would I still have been drinking!), and in 2015 he created his own non-alcoholic wine, this one, the Blanc de Blanc! Bubbly Rating: 8.5/10
So Jennie
A non-alcoholic, sparkling rosé wine. This is a sweeter bubbly that smells like strawberries and isn’t very wine-like. This could be because So Jennie has never been alcoholized. It contains 11.25g sugar per 150ml, which is high. It has a beautiful pink color and delicate bubbles and comes in a stylish bottle. I quite like it. Bubbly Rating: 7/10
Sovi Sparkling White
A sparkling, non-alcoholic wine from California. Sour, but in a crisp and apple-y way. It’s fresh and not sweet. Bubbles disappear pretty quickly, unfortunately. Contains 2g of sugar per 150ml and is made of a blend of Chenin Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Gewürztraminer. Bubbly Rating: 6.5/10
Sovi Sparkling Rosé
A sparkling, non-alcoholic rosé wine from California. Sovi Rosé has a very dark color, is quite sour/tangy, and has a dry finish. I don’t think it tastes very wine-like, but it’s not bad. It contains 3g of sugar per 250ml and is made of a blend of Pinot Noir and Tempranillo grapes. Bubbly Rating: 6/10
Surely Sparkling Rosé
A non-alcoholic sparkling rosé wine from California. This bubbly is orangey and smells like the real deal. But the taste? Not great, in my humble opinion… there is nothing sweet about it, it’s a bit watery, doesn’t have a lot of bubbles/is a bit flat, plus it’s quite sour. And there is a hint of some unnatural/chemical taste in there… The good thing about Surely Sparkling Rosé is that they sell it in cans (so easy to bring when you’re on the go), and it only has 1g of sugar per can. Bubbly Rating: 5/10
TÖST Rosé
A pink, alcohol-free sparkling tea. First of all, it’s a sparkling tea, not an alcohol-free wine. Its main ingredients are white tea, white cranberry, and ginger. It’s dry, full of flavor, and has a lovely color. I love it! It’s a great bubble to bring to parties, too, as it’s readily available in the shops and comes in both big and small bottles… delicious! Bubbly Rating: 8/10
Wild Idol
An alcohol-free sparkling rosé with grapes from Germany. This is the most expensive alcohol-free sparkling drink I have ever tasted; it was £34.99 for a standard 750ml bottle. After thinking about it for a few minutes, I decided I just had to get it, though, as I was very curious how it would taste. So here we go… Wild Idol is vegan and gluten-free and has a simple yet stylish label. The drink has a pale salmon color. Then the taste: it has a sour bite, a strong taste of green apple, and something sweeter, like peach or something… it’s a lovely taste. The bubbles in it are fast and furious (love!) and give me a fizzy, tingling effect on my tongue. It has a dry aftertaste. Wow, this is good… Love it. Bubbly Rating: 9/10
Wild Life Botanicals Nude
This is a non-alcoholic bubble from the UK. Advertised as “Bubbles with Benefits,” this drink immediately drew my attention. The benefits are, they claim: “ultra-low in alcohol (0.5% ABV) yet ultra-high in goodness, this unique English bubbly crafted in Cornwall is infused with an uplifting elixir of vitamins, minerals and botanicals, each chosen for their health-giving properties.” Sounds promising, doesn’t it? I poured it and saw that the non-alcoholic wine has a beautiful light color and lovely, active bubbles. It has a great flavor—elderflower in the beginning, and then its undertones of lime appear; very pleasant. It has a lovely taste with a very original and fresh flavor—I recommend trying these non-alcoholic bubbles for yourself. Bubbly Rating: 8/10
Wild Life Botanicals Blush
It smells lovely, like the real deal! It has a beautiful blush rose color and fine, active bubbles. First, there is a very strong strawberry flavor followed by a pleasant, not overly sweet taste with a bit of a sour bite to it. I actually really like this. Could this be my new favorite bubbly? Bubbly Rating: 9/10
