'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' child actor Jibraan Khan all set for 'Ishq Vishk Rebound', Karan Johar reacts

Karan Johar took to Instagram to extend heartfelt congratulations to Jibraan Khan, the talented actor who began his Bollywood journey as a child artist in Johar’s iconic film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ (K3G).

Sharing the character reveal poster of Jibraan’s role ‘Sahir’ from his upcoming film ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’, Karan Johar expressed, “Congratulations @ibraan.khan from K3G to ISHQ VISHK! All my blessings and love.”

Jibraan Khan’s transition from a child actor in ‘K3G’ to a prominent role in ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ has garnered significant attention and excitement among fans. The unveiling of his character poster received an overwhelming response, further amplifying anticipation for his performance in the upcoming thriller.

Directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari, ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ promises to showcase Jibraan Khan’s evolution as an actor, captivating audiences with his nuanced portrayal of Sahir. It is the spirit sequel of   Ishq Vishk  , which marked the Bollywood debut of   Shahid Kapoor  alongside  Amrita Rao  ,  Shenaz Treasury   and   Vishal Malhotra  .

While the movie marks the grand Bollywood debut of   Hrithik Roshan  ’s cousin Pashmina, Jibraan Khan worked as a child actor in films like   Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham  ,   Rishtey   and   Kyo Kii… Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta  . On the other hand, Rohit Saraf and Naila Grewal impressed everyone with their performances in   Mismatched  .

Talking about the film, Rohit Saraf had said News 18, “I am actually very excited. Nervousness comes in just before a project is about to drop but before that there is just tonne and tonne of excitement. I am really looking forward to it. I feel like it is something that audiences will enjoy, my audience will enjoy."

He said that he is not stepping into the shoes of Shahid Kapoor and added, “I am not stepping into Shahid (Kapoor)’s shoes. The only thing that the two films, Ishq Vishk and Ishq Vishk Rebound hold in common is just the name. It is the franchise which is common. It is not stepping into anybody’s shoes. It is a very different story. It is a story about new age love. It is a story about love and friendship in today’s world, in 2023."
