Swatch quiz: Which one is Stone Cold Fox by Colourpop and which one is Naked 1 by Urban Decay?
Hello! I've been missing Naked 1 by UD (my first palette 🥹). I just wanted to show others how similar a palette the colourpop one is to the cult classic, discontinued original naked 1. Some are extremely close in both color and finish while others have similar colour but a different finish. However, if you were a fan of the first naked, you will probably like this one too. Natural windowed lighting (fair/neutral skin). Applied with both finger and brush swatches for max saturation.
Thank you for posting on r/swatchitforme!

Naked has to be the left - I don't see my HG half baked on the right
I agree. Half Baked gave it away for me.
Lol I love how people have memories associated with specific shadows
Left is UD, colourpop is always way too pink for some reason
Always 😭
Right side is Naked 1.
Results: Left side is UD Naked 1 In pan, the colors look warmer and more like how the colourpop actually pulls, whereas UD pulls more plum/brown/grey.
And yes half-baked to me also is the clearest giveaway. There is no warm gold in the Colourpop palette sadly
I miss Naked 1 😔 why did they have to discontinue it ETA: so thank you for showing a great dupe / alternative!
I've been looking more into ingredients in old products I used to enjoy and I noticed that many brands (including UD) around the mid/late 2010s era had chemicals that later proved in clinical studies to be harmful or carcinogenic. The Naked 1 and 2 had parabens in it, so maybe they couldn't recreate the formula convincingly without it? If you've seen the mini sin palette, the sin color is WILDLY different than the Naked 1 sin so that is my guess. They also all have Talc in them which isn't great, BUT the colourpop ones do as well so it might be why they end up feeling/looking so similar.
That is so interesting! Thanks for sharing!
I’ve been sleeping on colourpop for too long- their eyeshadows have amazing pigment
I know right? It shocked me so much too the first time I tried it. I think wear time is slightly less than UD, but if you work it with primer and setting spray it's not noticeable.
