Product Description
Product description
Stan Winston, creator of creatures like Predator and Pumpkinhead, has done it again with a series of frightful figures from the updated television special Creature Features. The Visitor is the manifestation made from a young boy's imagination after he watches a late-night monster movie. But as the Visitor begins a violent rampage, the psychic boy can no longer control his creation. The figure blends in well with the easily assembled diorama and sturdily adheres to it once placed there. The details on the base are incredible, with branches and rocks flawlessly painted to look realistic. The figure itself offers limited detailing, save the sharp teeth and eerie eyes in the well-done facial definition. Bendable appendages on the upper body make for a smooth transition from base to figure, but because of the weak joints, it's easy for an arm to become detached, causing frustration when posing the creature. Since the Visitor is intended for display using the base, it does not stand well on its own. A CD-Rom is also included, telling about the making of the Visitor and a look into what's coming next from Stan Winston Studios. WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD -- Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs. Packaging may exhibit some minor shelfwear, such as bent corners, minor creases, dents, scratches, tears, etc...

However, this is NOT a piece for children, at least, not complete. Included with the forest/fallen tree base are several small, loose branches and twigs which could easily be swallowed. If you want to give this to a child, be sure to take those small branches away. It is not meant to be a toy, and while you could probably play with The Visitor figure, it is best as a display piece.
Other than the small branches, this is an excellent figure for collectors.
