Japanese WTA Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka has revealed her emotions when fans call her the same as star icon Serena Williams. Notably, the star player led an amazing win over Daria Kasatkina during the Italian Open 2024 in Rome. Osaka had expressed confidence in her clay court, which was motivated by Sharapova and Serena Williams.

“I see Serena and Sharapova on there. It makes me very inspired knowing that hard hitters can play well on clay. Of course, when I was younger, I watched both of them extensively. I think Osaka’s a little bit like Serena, She’s got the big game and she doesn’t need that many matches as long as she stays healthy to play well and get that confidence," Naomi Osaka said.

“I think that her legacy is really wide to the point where you can’t even describe it in words. Like, she changed the sport so much. She’s introduced people who have never heard of tennis into the sport. I think I’m a product of what she’s done. I wouldn’t be here without Serena, Venus, her whole family. I’m, like, very thankful to her. I also was trying to figure out how to sum it into words. I honestly think that she’s, like, the biggest force in the sport,” she added further.
