John Almond OBITUARY

John J. “Jack” Almond, 85, Exeter Township, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011, in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.

He was born in Upper Darby to the late Charles and Bessie (Jackson) Almond.

His wife survives him, Mentana “Tana” (Morelli) Almond.

Mr. Almond was a supervisor of sheet metal for Boeing for 32 years until he retired in 1984.

He was a lifetime member of Cardington Fire Company. He was a former trustee of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Clifton Heights. He was a current member of Trinity UCC, Mount Penn.

In addition to his wife, surviving are daughters, Janet L., wife of Dennis A. Barcaro, King of Prussia; and Jacki A., wife of Doug S. Tase, Exeter Township; Lauren DiRomualdo, Matthew Barcaro and Carolyn and Christine Tase; and a brother, George Almond, Upper Darby.

He was predeceased by a brother, Charles; and sisters: Betty Benetsky, Rose Bailey and Mildred Almond.

The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. to noon in Trinity UCC, 2447 Cumberland Ave., Mount Penn, PA 19606. Memorial services will follow at noon.
