two performances from the Region of Western Greece – 2024-05-11 04:48:46

After the first successful presentation of the play “Night falls in Samoni”, the Region of Western Greece organizes two performances on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 May, at the Theater “orofos”. The performances will be given at 21:15 and the entrance will be free for the public, with the only condition being the reservation of seats by phone: 6906.558899.

In the mountain resort of Chamonix in France, Catherine reports her husband’s disappearance to the police station. Three days later the police inspector comes to inform her that their investigations have been fruitless. Suddenly at that moment, the missing husband enters the house but Katrin does not recognize him, he is a complete stranger to her. The husband is shocked by her reaction and calls the owner of the house who confirms that it is him. The puzzle is further complicated when an eccentric client of the husband and a quirky Romanian nurse appear. A police comedy, with a surprising ending that must remain a secret.

It is an adaptation by Reppa-Papathanassiou of the leading detective work, “The Trap” by Robert Thomas, which is considered a landmark in the history of the genre from the first moment of its release in 1960, after it established a new genre, that of the comic thriller (” comedy thriller”).

Nothing is as it seems in the masterful “Trap” and at the same time in the adaptation of the writing duo which is closer to the Greek creation. A delicate balance of thrills, twists, humor, mystery and “theatre within a theater” make up a demonic stage play that keeps the viewer’s interest undiminished from beginning to end, playing with “appearance” and “being”.

Playing in order of appearance: Themida Ioannou, Vangelis Michalis, Dimitris Georgopoulos, Christina Papanikola, Alexandros Bistas and Olga Giakoumaki.
