Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

I was at a funeral yesterday for a friend who’d died suddenly at age 61. He was a Naim user, with an LP12 and active NBL system. For various reasons we hadn’t kept in touch as we should have, but he will be missed.

His son played a solo adaptation of the title track from this album on guitar. Poignant and nicely done.

Barry Grey - Supercar Television Soundtrack - CD (2020)

The first children’s tv series I can remember watching, well I was only 3  memories, memories.

Many moons ago I went to a talk by Gerry Anderson and remember him talking about Supercar. Apparently they nearly blew whole shows budget blow molding the canopy on the car. Took quite a few attempts to make it and was really costly at the time. He was a really funny man and a great speaker.

Professor Beaker! Mike Mercury! I had a model of Supercar, my mate broke it. I suspect on purpose. Enjoy

I think that was my first TV annual. Even had black and white pages of print with a mono coloured hand drawn picture at the head of the story.

Carole King / Tapestry
2023 MFSL Numbered Edition

A very nice Vinyl of this legendary album. The soundstage is excellent and the instruments are so detailed and multilayered. The RTI pressing is perfect and noiseless. Of course this one has the digital step but who cares when it just sounds so good and brings the joy in my living room?

Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
1977 Warner Original Japanese Pressing

What a h@ll of a record! Bought it via discogs at a dealer in Japan in an almost Mint condition. This record was once or twice played, after cleaning it looks like new. I have two other versions of it (German original and 33rpm Pallas edition) but this one drives me crazy. Listening to Never Going Back Again makes me believe that these guys are standing in my living room. Mick plays the drums like never before. For heaven‘s sake! Could be my buy of the year :+1:

Lotta John Lee on the Forum lately.
Thought I’d join in.
I actually prefer him without all the guest stars, but hey, any Hooker is good.

John Lee Hooker - I’m John Lee Hooker.

John Lee’s very first album, and one of the first albums I bought with my paper round / milk round money.

Why? Because you can never have too much John Lee Hooker. :notes: :musical_note: :guitar:
