So I was at goodwill looking for CDs and I found a "demo" / EP of a very obscure band called "What Happened In Vegas" I checked em out and they are like a Post-Hardcore / Emo / Punk band that resembles that of Hawthorne Heights or Silverstein (at least on the demo o have) but they're more obscure. Apparently they were accused of scamming people out of vans warped tour tickets and the lead singer checked into a mental hospital shortly after. Not much is known about this band and this CD is even more obscure. I checked discogs and I can't even find the CD on there. I posted this here because I don't know where else to post to get more information on this band or to see what other people think of them. Here are some pics of the CD: https://imgur.com/gallery/SJIzK
What Happened In Vegas (Obscure Band)
That's an unfortunate band name

Not so fun fact/rant: The year What Happened In Vegas was banned from Warped Tour they were one of the bands that won the Ernie Battle of the Bands contest to play Detroit. My cousin's band placed 2nd, but they passed on them for another band because they sounded too much like What Happened In Vegas, who placed first. I guess they wanted to mix up the genres, which I get. However when this whole scammer story broke and the band was banned from all dates anyways, they still wouldn't let my cousin's band play. And they didn't fill the spot with another band. It still pisses me off lol.
I remember seeing What Happened In Vegas a few times live. They used to play a lot of local shows all over Michigan. And I think they did some tours across the U.S. too. I never heard anything about them after this incident though. I think their popularity had peaked a couple years before all of this and this was the last straw for the band. I do hope the singer figured things out.
EDIT: Spelling
Their singer used to hang around one of the local scenes that my band came up at. I'd see him around and he seems like a decent dude. He was also featured in Living With A Ghost by Adventurer. Oddly enough, one of WHIV's drummers is currently the drummer for Adventurer. He SLAYS.
Also, that video is shot at The Ritz. I'm sure that your cousin's band has played there plenty of times haha
