Kapaleeshwarar Temple is amazing to visit with kids. You can easily spend 2 hours there and you don't need a guide to see the Temple. Be aware that the Temple closes at noonish and re-opens again in the late afternoon. The Hindu priests and worshippers were very welcoming and friendly. Non-Hindus are not allowed to enter the temples so look out for signs. However, you will still be able to follow from outside. Two things to look out for. We left our flip flops in a shoe place, associated with the Temple and situated just outside the entrance to the Temple, that was supposed to be free but of course it wasn't. A man came out of the shoe place after we picked up our shoes and became aggressive and intimidating when we did not accept his offer of Chennai tours. There is another man (an economics student apparently) who stands at the entry to the temple and offers tours. He also became unpleasant and argumentative when we rejected his offer of touring the Temple with him. Apart from that we had a great time and will visit again next time we are in Chennai.

I thoroughly enjoyed my isit here. There is ample free parking during our visit. We visited the interiors of this church, admired the wood carvin and simple decorations. . There is also a small museum showing some artifacts of the old times.

The tomb or crypt is located towards the back of the Basilica. There are pews to kneel/sit down when praying to St. Thomas. The tomb is located at the center of the crypt.

I said my prayers here and took some pictures. Note that there is aircondition here, the area is kept clean.Highly recommended to visit.

One of Chennai’s favourite destinations for Showrooms for fashion, lifestyle, restaurants and entertainment. I have been here a couple of times and it’s one of the first malls that doesn’t up that had branded stores and was a welcome change. Usually it’s crowded with a lot of wandering crowds and window shoppers and friends loitering around for time pass and a few come here fur amusement and entertainment. I visited this place on January the 30th 2023 when we had gone for a Hindi movie.

Visited this very beautiful temple. It’s seems to date back a long time ago judging from the structure and carvings. Very beautiful and serene. Can get quite busy at times. Beautiful chariot carving of Arjun can be seen. Lots of little structure for one to offer respect . Entry is free. It was amazing to see so many young people sitting and meditating and offering prayer. It felt really good to be there. Some crafts could be purchased outside the temple.

We visited vadapalani murugan temple on akshaya tritiya day.
We took bus till vadapalani depot and from there two stops which stops near the temple.
One can walk and go to temple.
There is a place to remove chappals and one can enter the temple .
Lord ganapati is there in the entrance to worship and when we move inside good paintings and stories are written on the wall of the surroundings and small queue was there ,one should walk along with devotees to worship the lord and get the Prasad and while coming around the praharam lord Hanuman is also there to worship .
Stone carvings of slokas in Tamil are all there to read in each pillars .
Since we visited in morning hours around 8 o clock after darshan we got prasadam to eat .
There are benches to sit inside temple premises for young children and old people and also water to refresh.
One can come out of temple and buy some flowers ,flower shops are available and walk through the shops and reach the vadapalani bus depot to reach the particular place.
