    CDs will never sound as astonishing as your precious stylus. Having all the OG vinyl records, what is the point?

      So question to whomever owns one of the sets do the CD's just come straight in a cardboard sleeve or is there anything to protect the disc like a paper sleeve or anything? Does the individual albums come with booklets? Just curious would like to have more dynamic CDs that the 2001 and 2011 remasters. Thanks in advance.

        I like this box set as I've been able to dig into it, but there's a few things that prevent making me love it.

        First off, censorship: Why the Mudd club performance has an edit to the "Starbreaker" intro is unknown. I know it is/was referenced cocaine, but it was so dry humor that people probably would've almost not noticed it. And Demolition is edited because... why?

        Second, the scattered bonus tracks from the '01 "remasters" and such not being on here is absurd. There's no reason to not include them. I can do without the live tracks the band later released as part of a full concert (see Long Beach, CA - May 5 1984) being added on.

        But from the bonus EP of "Unleashed In The East" containing the much sought after "Beyond The Realms Of Death" to the '01 remasters, there's material that could've been "remastered" like the regular albums here. Maybe even match the song to the album session it was recorded with. Or if you want to compile them onto one set, take out the audience recordings on "Beyond Live & Rare" (Sorry, but to me audience recordings are painful), and put these tracks on there.

        I'm giving this a 4/5, what could have been "THE" Judas Priest box set, instead feels like something(s) is missing. And it's a shame.

              How is the sound quality compared to the https://www.discogs.com/release/4656680-Judas-Priest-The-Complete-Albums-Collection from 2012? I think that one sounds a bit compressed but maybe it is just my setup.

                Got mine today, I've contacted the relative people about all the flaws and they said the covers will definitely be getting reprinted and sent out in due course, they also said they passed on the censorship issue on Demolition to the label/management so it's a wait and see on that one.

                UPDATE!!! They got back to me and said only the covers will be reprinted, all audio issues will stay as they are, there are 2 more CD cover issues, both Demolition and Angel Of Retribution say recorded in 1997, these faults will not be fixed.

                  I absolutely love this treasure trove - flaws and all! I do really wish they'd have included a disc that contained all of the previously unreleased studio material - the songs that appear on The Remasters - all on one CD instead of being spread over The Remasters catalogue. I don't see why they felt the need to edit the swearing on Demolition, though.. I'm pretty sure when can handle one F-bomb and one S-bomb... A signed K.K. photo would've been a nice touch, too...
                  Otherwise it's brilliant!

                    Love the set despite some of the running order errors on the live stuff and and other textual flaws people have raised. Would love to see the full Unleashed show released in the correct sequence at some point in time. I have the 12” with Beyond the Realms of Death and Evil Fantasies as a b-side plus the Japanese version with the four extra tracks. Also would love to see the Cleveland Agora show from ‘78 released in full. I have a boot but to take all the tracks they’ve released from this show over various releases and give them this same treatment would be a great document of those early years. All in all 9/10 for the content. But I’m a Priest homer and I’m being picky. The remasters sound great.
