Marshall High School Reviews
Rating 3.11 out of 5 178 reviews
Marshall High School located in Marshall, Tx is a small high school compared to other high schools in Texas. It may not be a well known high school, but its employees and students make it a unique place. The teachers and principals at the high school are some of the most helpful and respectful people I’ve met. They offer help for every student and are willing to help you with anything. The teachers are very respectful and helpful as well. As a senior who just graduated this year, I loved the attitude that the teachers have towards the students. They agree sweet and kind. Every teacher that I had was always making sure that me and my classmates felt comfortable. Sports and clubs were really nice and would encourage us to be good in school and as well as outside of school. Overall I’m very proud of going to this school and being an alumni.
Marshall High School was not the worst place to get an education but certainly not the best. More work could be put into college prep and AP test prep, and the administration could stand to be more supportive of both high-achieving and low-achieving students. My classes were often both stressful and badly organized, and I did not feel that many of them prepared me well enough for standardized testing or for college. It was my participation in fine arts and UIL academic extracurriculars (what I feel is one of the school's strengths) that truly made my high school experience bearable.
Marshall High School is not only a school but a family. They offer dual credit classes and prepare you for college in the best way possible. Marshall also has amazing counselors to help answer any questions you may have about classes, personal life, or getting ready for college. There are different classes like health science, business management, law classes, accounting, and more that are available to students who are wanting to learn more about those specific areas. There is also FFA which is going great these past few years as well. Overall, Marshall High School is an amazing school and more people should consider it.
