Emmy Elizabeth Liu-Wang (born November 20, 2006) is an American actress who is best known for her role as Ivy Chen on the Disney Channel sitcom Raven's Home.
Biography[]
An actress, singer, and musician, Wang appeared as Amaryllis in the Broadway Center Stage production of "The Music Man" at the Kennedy Center alongside Rosie O'Donnell, Jessie Mueller and Norm Lewis. She also played the title role in the Andrean Players' production of "Annie" and was in the Broadway Workshop production of "Into the Woods" as the Narrator. Wang also guest-starred in "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" on HBO. Wang started playing the cello at the age of five and the piano at six. As a child prodigy, she progressed rapidly and reached a professional level in both instruments at the age of 10. She later taught herself to play the guitar. She started to sing when she was seven and quickly fell in love with it. Wang is well-versed and sings in many genres of music, including opera, musical theater, pop and jazz. Wang has a YouTube channel where she performs covers of songs while accompanying herself on the piano, cello and guitar.
Wang currently resides in New York City with her parents and little brother. When she is not filming, she attends the performing arts high school Frank Sinatra School of the Arts as a vocal major. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies and TV shows, swimming and making art.
