The songs of Al Stewart were a very refreshing musical change from all the sludge-rock in the 70's.
Stewart is a true singer-song writer. He has his own style, great songs with great hooks. And, his lyrics are some of the best story-teller song lyrics around. Mix in a little English accent in his delivery, and you've got some great songs to listen to.
Stewart's songs were big hits with huge radio play, in those days. So several of his songs will be familiar to even the casual radio listener. Some compare him to Donovan, you be the judge. I say this is just great music.
This compilation has most of Al Stewart's best songs. This CD is a very worthy addition to your music collection.
Enjoy something a little different. Your ears will be happy.
