Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor have a lot to celebrate this week.

On Monday, the couple appeared together at the opening night party for Broadway play Appropriate, in which Paulson, 49, stars.

On Instagram, the Emmy-winning American Crime Story actress shared a photo of herself and Taylor, 80, smiling together at The Yard House Times Square in New York City.

“I’ve typically been separated from my person on these kinds of nights. Not this time,” Paulson wrote in a caption. “Deserves the grid.”

Paulson and The Morning Show star first met in 2005, but it wasn’t until 2015 they began dating and went public with their relationship. Earlier this year the couple have been spotted out and about in New York City, at the Paris Fashion Week Fendi Couture runway show and at the 2023 Academy Awards

Taylor also commemorated both Paulson’s fourth appearance on Broadway and her Dec. 17 birthday. On Tuesday, the actress posted on Instagram a photo of flowers, a present and birthday candles spelling out "49."

“What a Birthday for my darling, the eve before today’s opening of #Appropriate- the play’s Broadway debut,” wrote Taylor, noting that the show marked Paulson’s return to New York theater for the first time in a decade, since Off-Broadway’s Talley's Folly in 2013.

Taylor called her girlfriend’s “return after a busy” 10-year absence “incandescent, thrilling return, fiery and brave,” adding that Appropriate was “a brilliant theatre masterwork” from playwright Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins.

Appropriate, directed by Lila Neugebauer, also stars Elle Fanning, Corey Stoll, Natalie Gold and Michael Esper. Pulitzer Prize for Drama finalist Jacobs-Jenkins first wrote the play in 2013; it debuted in New York Off-Broadway in 2014.

Last month, Paulson appeared on The View to discuss Appropriate and her eight-year relationship with Taylor, saying, "I am thrilled and I feel very lucky to be with a person who is smarter, wiser, wittier than I, and that just makes my life better in every possible way."

The Ratched actress added, "She just also makes me feel seen, which I think is the most important gift you can give to any person."

Paulson got her start in New York theater, making her Broadway debut in 1993's The Sisters Rosensweig before appearing in 2005’s The Glass Menagerie and 2010’s Collected Stories. Taylor is similarly no stranger to the stage, with eight Broadway credits to her name stretching back to The Devils in 1965.
