I liked the close and small knit community had. My class size was wonderful, my only class that was huge was my freshman biology class which is expected. Troy seemed to change a lot from pre pandemic to post pandemic in a sense where everyone was fine with having a pretty good party scene. But the younger student population seemed like they didn’t want Troy to be a party scene school when I would never have said Troy was a party school but a good enough party scene. Academics were incredible and professors were always accessible if you needed help. Troy the community, is a very small town so be ready for not much going on in the specific town. The town expects the University to be the entertainment for everyone.
I have attended Troy University in person as well as online. As far as online goes, Troy's program is amazing! Troy in person sadly was not the same. I never felt safe in my dorm as boys would constantly break into the girls dorms and trying to break down our doors. The school never fixed this and allowed it to happen. There were also constantly shooting around campus and off campus housing. The food was okay but was definitely not your mama's cooking.
Troy University is great. The only complaints I have is housing because they accept more people than they can house on campus.
Troy University is a wonderful college to attend. The advisor are helpful and and they check up and make sure there students are passing. Over the few year with drop there was only one thing I dislike about one of the class I was talking. The Teacher really did not teach anything. We really had to learn the hard way. What I mean by that is having to keep asking over and over for help and someone to explain to me how to work something. So i end up dropping the class.
It has been wonderful here at Troy. I have currently been the women's basketball team manager, and it has been a lot of fun and a great experience.
Troy University is a completely corrupt place. They treat their faculty like complete slaves, and the administrators are lying, deceitful, corrupt, licentious excuses for human beings. They love to accuse any faculty they don't like of false matters so that they can steal their overload classes and bump them down to peasant pay salaries. Anyone who considers teaching here should run as fast as they can in the opposite direction. Anyone who considers studying here should also reconsider, since their faculty is treated so poorly. How can they possibly do the best possible job for their students? Troy University is a sinking ship which I will look forward to watching, with popcorn in hand, fade into the academic abyss in the near future as better universities with morals and ethics thrive and grow while it withers like the evil serpent it is.
At Troy University, I have enjoyed how neat the campus looks here. Areas such as the campus library and recreational center provide places to relieve stress and free your mind away from everything that comes with academics. Housing can be improved, but it is not an issue that would deter anyone from enrolling and living on campus.
Troy is amazing. The school is big enough to have that true college feel to it but the town is small enough to have that nice small local feel to it. Campus life is great. There is always something to do on campus, be it sporting events or movie nights or just hanging with friends on an extremely safe campus. There is a great police presence and they are extremely helpful
Troy University is beautiful and welcoming university. Troy's housing offers a comfortable, engaging community, perfect for making lifelong friends. Student life is vibrant, with numerous clubs and events fostering a sense of belonging. Academically, Troy stands out with a diverse range of programs and a supportive faculty dedicated to student success. Athletics are a source of pride, with the Trojans competing fiercely across various sports, uniting students in spirited camaraderie. Extracurricular activities are abundant, providing ample opportunities for personal growth and leadership development. Overall, Troy University delivers a well-rounded experience, nurturing both the intellectual and social facets of student life.
I must say Troy University is an excellent school you definitely have to work hard and study long to be successful I like the fact they challenge you and make you realize that anything you do in life is worth fighting for to be successful.
I love this school. 1st semester was very rough for me. I joined a soroity and while I do love it, i was just struggling to make friends. I did end up making the best group of friends, I also struggled because theres not much to do in the town, so you have to make the most of it. Everyone says that its the next Auburn, it's growing and getting more things around the town, which is very true. I'm very excited to see the next 3 and a half years have in store.
I was extremely excited to attend Troy. However, shortly after moving in, I realized that it wasn't that safe. People would often drive down the road outside my dorm shooting guns. It was something I couldn't look over and it made it to where I was even scared to go to my classes. The campus is beautiful and most of the teachers have been really nice, but my safety means more to me than a pretty campus. That being said, I plan on transferring to another institution.
I love Troy and always have. Both my parents graduated from Troy, so it truly feels like home. I have spent most of my free time hanging out with the international students and have learned and grown so much. The world is so big and there are so many beautiful cultures out there. I'm lucky to go to a school that is home to many of those cultures.
I like that the faculty are so personable. As someone in the arts, I believe that is so important. At Troy, you're more than just a number. You're not just another student. You are a person, you are someone who everyone wants to work with and succeed. I do wish the arts were given more respect and funding though.
Overall, it's not a bad college in terms of community and various opportunities offered. I like the clubs presented and the passion in the creative students.
I chose Troy because I wanted a small town college experience. I very much enjoy all aspects of this university. While here I have been able to experience so much. I would highly recommend Troy University to everyone. Go Trojans!
I attended Troy University for my undergraduate nursing degree where obtaining my Bachelors Science of Nursing. To attend my Alma mater for the Doctorate of Nursing Practice is an honor. It is a great program for nursing which I highly recommend.
I enjoyed the flexibility it gave me while I worked full time and was still able to advance my education in nursing. Thanks to the professors and the workload, I was able to obtain my BSN through the RN to BSN mobility program online. It afforded me a wealth of knowledge that I can carry with me entering my graduate degree program that is also online due to the positive experience I had with Troy's online curriculum.
I would definitely recommend Troy University. I love the great reputation as well as the variety of classes that are offered.
The campus is really nice on the outside but the insides of the buildings could be much better. The fact that people can live in some of these residential buildings is absolutely astonishing sometimes. The education itself at Troy is nothing to die for, and you could find much better education elsewhere. Not that it's bad, it's just nothing to look twice at. However, through extracurriculars and my major, I have found several groups of people that I can call my friends and wouldn't change it for anything. Solid 3/5 school with 10/10 friends.
