Born in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, Aislín McGuckin trained at the National Theatre in London. She has played everyone from Lady Macbeth to a doctor in Heartbeat, Letitia MacKenzie in Outlander and Marianne’s mum in Normal People. Aislín has three children and lives with her husband, Seán Páircéir, in Dublin.
