1.20.5 LAN Connection issues - Java Edition Support - Support - Minecraft Forum - Minecraft Forum
Has anyone experienced issues with the new release connecting via LAN? All of a sudden I get either timeout errors or not even seeing the server with the latest release. All computers on the same network, 3 different computers being 1 Mac + 2 pcs, have all tried to host or connect to each other. Nothing works… Is this a known bug with the latest release? There was no issue with previous releases …
Me too. I can see my friend's world but he can't see mine. Trying to join his world would give me an error of like getsockopt or something like that. I'm still searching for solutions.
Yeah, me too. Works fine in 1.20.4 and after upgrading the world i cannot play with my gf in lan anymore :(. The world shows up in multiplayer but i get socket error or something
Hey charloot, I'm still having this issue. Running a port-forwarded server on another device.
I've installed Java JDK 22 on both my server's device and the PC that I play Minecraft on. On both devices I have also ensured that my Windows firewall has allowed JDK 22's java.exe and javaw.exe to be run.

Nvm, I made a mistake. The update dropped at the same time my power went out, so my server's device's IPv4 changed. Needed to change that in my port forwarding section in my router's homepage. Works as intended now!
